greatsword dawnbreaker variant pls!

its kinda annoying that i cant use the dawnbreaker as a greatsword ESPECAILLY with the new scribing ability for the 2 handed sword being a large scale aoe taunt making it perfect for a paladin style tank using a 2 handed greatsword.

With Scribing they aren’t introducing any AoE taunts, despite their description, it’s only going to taunt the enemy closest to your cursor.

Oh I agree, there’s really no reason why using a weapon without any tanking passives couldn’t have something like an AoE taunt to encourage tank build diversity.

Would be a fair trade-off in certain circumstances, honestly.

The devs really can't have been clearer that they do not see AoE taunt as something they want in ESO:

thats what i felt especailly since its not just stamina cost reduction to blocking you loose but also easy major and minor breach for 15 seconds on as many targets as you stab, a further option for stamina cost reduction and most importantly for tanking in eso, the block mitigation from both the passive and from the further defensive stance ability if you use it AND that abilites ranged dmg shield all making it so you can survive certain attacks designed specifically to be only easy to survive with a sword and board block.

true but i had hoped they decided against that with options that both force but also allow for unique options
