Breton Templar Tank

I have always mained a Templar and he works well as a Magplar and Reliever but is it even worth gearing up and using an armory slot for a Paladin? I hardly see anyone playing Templar tanks let alone as a Breton.

UsualSurrender✭✭✭Templar tanks are fun and aesthetically pleasant, I've been playing one for a couple of years and I have cleared most hm content with it. They've become much more viable about a year ago, even though they still lack of built-in class crowd control that you need to seek elsewhere. Very survivable though.
Breton should be fine, your entire toolkit uses magicka.
All races are viable anyway, as long as you don't push for the leaderboard. If that's what you want to play, go nuts !Edited by UsualSurrender on September 2, 2023 8:09AM2

✭I have a Templar tank that is purpose built to be an Offtank in trials, a good all around support tank in dungeons, and a healer in PVP. He's an Argonian and not a Breton though, but I see both of them as sustain races anyways, so you should be able to make it work with a Breton.
In PVE, I run Pearlescent Ward + crimson oath (back bar only), void bash front bar, and monster helm varies. My default helm is tremorscale, but I also have earthgore, lord warden, and malubeth to use if I need more selfish options.
He is particularly good as a dungeon tank with a 1 bar sorc who can fill in any gaps with healing with the matriarch, as my heals tend to be more localized.0
