I thought recently it would be nice to have extra large mounts. By extra large, I don't mean the existing "heavyweight" style mounts, but a mount like the Skyrim mammoth or the Vvardenfell silt strider! (not scaled down, either, but their normal size)

Imagine using one of those as a mount, that would be a different riding experience.

As long as they can't be used in cities. I can already see them blocking my view and interaction while doing my daily stuff.

A long time ago, I used to play another game where they had a "commerce" activity, where you'd transport goods along trade routes and potentially come under attack by groups of NPC's. One of the mounts you could choose to ride to carry your goods was an elephant. It was the most enormous mount in the game, and was a ton of fun to ride. Sadly it could only be used on the trade routes.

I've been craving an elephant mount ever since, lol.

The absolute last thing I need in this game is a mammoth sitting on top of the wayshrine.

See: WoW and it's gigantohuge mounts. People troll with them, and a lot of folks hate them. They block mailboxes, quest NPCs, to the point where they had to take important quest NPCs and put a dismount zone around them.

Also: we need extra-smol mounts too.

Scamps, Soul Shriven, and mudcrab. I think a soul shriven double mount would be particularly hilarious.

Just imagine, you summon this tiny being - smaller than your character, and then you climb on its shoulders and sit down on them, and your legs almost drag the ground, and yet, the creature runs as fast as a max- speed researched thoroughbred horse! How funny would that be?!

And the double mount? Basically the same thing, except you are also now giving a piggy back ride to your buddy lol

Also, just generally speaking: Why do we not have a warthog/pig mount?

Camel is the tallest mount and could share the same height as a Mammoth and other large mounts.

If you pay attention to the dialogue in some of the Stibbons and Lady Laurent quests, he's already being used as an (umm...) mount.

Which is a nice way to allow people the fantasy/experience of riding massive mounts and also not let it get in the way of people trying to go about their business because of a handful of toxic players. Can't say I see what the problem is with that. And let's be real, chances are ESO couldn't handle having extra large mounts and that's the only excuse Zenimax needs to not add them.

For some reason I doubt that ESO even has an instance size of 100 players (except maybe Cyrodiil).

In all seriousness, having these goofily large mounts would sound like fun. With some caveats, of course. The only issue where I could see them getting exploited is like Cyrodiil. Unless they just straight up officially make a silt strider mount that is just a tall mount (like camels but taller), and they can’t jump or run faster than any other mount.
