Anyone have this ugly button at the top of the page? Reminds me of Bootstrap CSS library from 2008.

What does the bell part do? Also is using bells to follow things a thing?

The bell does nothing, it's just an icon (a poorly-chosen one that doesn't really match the button's purpose).

The 'Follow' button isn't the only thing wrong with this forum site: the post jumping problem (acknowledged as a problem by ZOS) has yet to be fixed.

The bell is because you get notified when you follow a forum, a thread, etc. and there are posts and comments there.

Like when people go to old hotels and ring the desk bell to notify they're there, churchs ring the bell to notify about speech starting, cities bells ringing to notify 12 o'clock, and so.

Many items/icons can be used for notifications, bell is one of them.

If we go to our Profiles here in the forums, the notifications area, we can see bells there too.

Its there to keep Quasimodo busy, of course. He had to get a new job, ever since Notre Dame replaced him with AI.
    Legends never die
    They're written down in eternity
But you'll never see the price it costs
The scars collected all their lives
When everything's lost, they pick up their hearts and avenge defeat
Before it all starts, they suffer through harm just to touch a dream
    Oh, pick yourself up, 'cause
    Legends never die

You missed the forums. You're in Elder Scrolls Online, not in Cyberpunk 2077.

Maybe, when ZOS just did the Amsterdam event, they should have used neon lights and sabre lasers fights, instead of castles, rocks and knights with swords, right?

Everyone knows the Yokudan shehai is just an Elder Scrolls lightsaber. 😉
