Hello,

What is glyph damage (ie burning) based off total magicka, stamina, or does hybridization take care of this?

Thanks,

Z

Well, the tooltip only changes based on the quality of your enchant and the quality of your weapon, if it's Infused. So I would say it doesn't scale with your stats. That said, "Burning" is not glyph damage. It's a status effect. Status effects do not not exclusively proc from glyphs. I'm not aware that those scale either, at least not with your stats. They should scale with (DK) buffs / passives that boost fire damage, though. I could be wrong.

Glyphs are not scaling with stats. They can however crit (so scaling with crit damage) and they're affected by % modifiers like major berserk, essence thief or malacath ring.
Status effects are scaling with everything, including your highest of weapon orspell damage stat and your highest ressource pool.

Burning is not glyph damage. Burning is a status effect that has a chance of occurring from any flame damage. Weapon glyphs have one of the highest percentage chances of making this happen because single target direct damage has a higher chance of status effects than, say, an AoE DoT. And weapon glyphs do single target direct damage.

But burning is about the flame damage the glyph did, not the glyph itself.

I believe glyphs specifically have a 20% chance to proc a status effect (without Charged, Heartland, Torug's). For direct single target damage it's 10%. I'm sure there's a difference and reasonably sure those are the figures.

    That would be correct.
Allegedly they decreased the chances when they made status effects stronger with the last update, but they did not provide numbers.
