Day four and super cheap garbage on all alt accounts, but the Wayrest doublet outfit on my main. I wouldn't have paid for it (bit ordinary) but it's not bad and I might actually use it.

Summary - nothing amazing (as usual) but the motifs convert to 33 gems which is the equivalent of a third of a mount. So an ok haul.

As always, the crates only give me pure *******. I really envy the people getting apex mounts. I just get really common items.

Mmmmm, I'd say yes and no.

From the many, many, many, many free crates I've opened over the years, I've only received 2 mounts. One (white wolf) on EU which I'll never play and the elk mount which I already owned.

Honestly, most apex mounts make me want to scratch my eyes out.

One of those new ridiculously purple things rode past me recently and I almost couldn't believe it.

The only apex mounts I'd be happy to get would be the Ayleid ones. Don't know if I'd be willing pay the gem cost for them.

Gems are always nice though and I've bought some cosmetics I use regularly. There are also several so far crate only mounts I would throw down gems for. So it's nice to have a healthy stash.

Same for me. I thought I got a mount from one of the free crates a while back but I never could find it. So if true I have never got a mount from any of them.

Across 3 accounts, 15 crates, I got about 100 gems total. I got nothing noteworthy out of 15 crates.

I do appreciate the free crates, but it's mostly because it's a good reminder of what a waste of money crown crates are.

Day 3. They don't get any better. If ZOS is trying to encourage me to buy crates they are doing a terrible job.

Tried to open the crates in my alternate accounts. Same thing on all ten of them (getting pretty basic items). Only two of them got the Silken motifs. Too bad they were bound else they could have been a good addition for my main account.

out of all of the days i got garbage

from 5 of boxes, only 1 of them even gave a bonus item, and 4 of the 5 boxes gave me the same copy of face markings

further reminding me to never waste money buying crates, and ill take free gems, but its still annoying to never get anything useful

Some emotes I will never use (including duplicates) and a an adornment I think. Result: free gems.

Day 4. One thing I have noticed about this particular crate opening thread iteration is the complete lack of excitement from those participating. Normally there are people celebrating the mounts and other goodies they are getting, but this seems to have been replaced with disappointment this time around.

Did ZOS adjust the drop rates downwards on these free crates?

(Edit: To be fair I did see some good stuff on the first page, but then... not a lot)

I got mostly Gems on PC NA, but those are much appreciated!

I also got the “Come get some” emote which is much more to my taste than some of the silly emotes so glad for that too!

On PC EU I got two costumes as well as Gems which is nice as I’ve very few costumes or motifs unlocked there.

First off, Congrats to everyone who got good stuff!!!!

Good luck to those who might still have crates to gain!!!!

Haven't opened mine yet, mostly because I usually don't even get blue items. I get food, pots & drinks. Yeah, they're free gems, but they're in such small amounts that they're nearly worthless. I'll open them later, when I'm more in the mood for seeing stuff I wouldn't even purchase from the Crown Store that I can exchange for a few gems.

All that said though, I AM glad they're giving us crates again. I really missed getting them as part of the daily logins. And thank you to the EU players who reminded me that I have an alt there & I should really go log in on her so she can get the house. (Especially since the entire reason I have an alt on EU was to help all the players get a free house!)
