Writs are needlessly tedious and for no good reason

the requirement to be allowed to only do one of a type then having to turn it it b4 doing another of the same type for why?
This is dumb. I have 100's of the things, esp alchemy. This tedium is completely without merit. I want to load them into inventory and at least do them one at a time without having to deliver them before i can do another.

Just tested with Alchemy as I've done it with durables already, you can do this, just pre-craft your writs and then go turn in the first, accept the next and repeat. As long as you have the requisite items in your inventory you can mass turn-in.Antiquities Addict5 -
ClowdyAllDay✭✭✭✭yes thats true it can be doe that way but it would be nice to have it automated. i dont have the mats memorized so i have to go through the traits to figure them out and a couple are trick and dont work like you think they would based because of where the trait is in the position1

DoofusMax✭✭✭Your journal has a limit of 25 entries, so at best you'd be able to accept no more than about three of each type of Master Writ (assuming that you don't already have a half-dozen other quests in there which would need to be abandoned). However, you can pre-craft everything. I did that last night for a couple or three dozen writs. Once the crafting was taken care of, I just stood in front of Hlaalu, popped an ambrosia, and then worked my way through those writs: accept (one of each type) > turn in > accept (one of each type) > turn in > (repeat until all writs are done or mousing finger screams for IcyHot) > lose most of the rest of the ambrosia waiting for onscreen announcements to stop.I'm fresh out of outrage, but I could muster up some amused annoyance if required.2 -

✭✭My process is to use writworthy, which lets you queue all the writs in inventory for automated crafting, then I go pre-craft all of the stuff at the guild house, then i go to deshaan and just sit in front of Rolis, open inventory, filter to the writs, get my cursor on the first once, then hit E E E I E E E I E E E I and so on until my inventory is gone. It goes pretty quick.4 -
StrongMamaBearSoul ShrivenThe answer is add-ons unfortunately. But WritWorthy is amazing - any writs you set in queue, you will auto-craft at a station as long as you have all mats. Then go to Rolis and open one of each different type of writ (just can't do the same type in one go), then turn in a batch at a time, reopen, rinse, and repeat. I usually save master writs for double xp time, pair them with a heavy duty xp scroll, and bust out 100 or so at once.3

✭✭Us console peasants know the pain of doing mass amounts of master writs that most PC players will never experience. I've completed master writs totally well over 250K writ vouchers, and it was all done manually. I can confirm that it's a massive grind.8 -

✭Writworthy addon FTW. I recently tore through 200+ master writs in about an hour.
Having a guild house with full master crafting stations also saved a lot of time.
If you don't have the addon, then just pre-craft everything. That's still slower than the addon, but it's still way faster than running back and forth to the crafting station every single time you turn in a writ.

✭✭✭✭✭Even on console it is way better than it was at the start. Being able to set your crafting to quests only and master crafting stations are a big improvement. I still would like the limit of one quest per discipline removed. If I have multiple enchanter and alchemy writs there is absolutely no reason I shouldn't be able to accept what I have room for and cycle through them to do at the station.4 -

✭✭✭✭✭I do them so infrequently that I don't really mind the time sink, and it's one of the less grindy activities in the game that generate rewards, so I really don't mind them at all. Besides, you can buy almost everything that the writ vendors sell in the guild traders so you could just bypass it.1 -

LazyWritCrafter if you're on PC...
Yes you still have to turn in 1 of each at a time, but you can queue up as many as you want. I hundreds at a time and now with the Grand Master stations done in minutes.0 -

✭✭✭When I have a ton of writs, I do one round of writs a day until they're gone. So I'll do one of each type (except jewelry), and when those six are done, I turn them in. Rinse and repeat every day.
I don't find it a problem, but I wouldn't complain if they removed the "one type at a time" restriction.0 -

And without addons, we can make errors and accidentally upgrade too far or use the wrong ingredients etc. It takes multiple days during double xp events to do my master writs built up from previous double XP. Even with GMC stations, you still have to scroll done with quest filter. PC players have it easy.FOR THE COVENANT! 🦁

daim✭✭✭✭✭If I wouldn't have an addon helping out to do them I would not bother do them at all. It's still a pain to manage and store the writs (and no, I wouldn't do then daily either).
How I manage to do them ? I collect them automatically on some of my alts that I don't play and when the time comes I list them in writhworthy and transfer them by profession back to my bank. I feel like having a small writ factory while doing it which is pretty cool. ESO+ is pretty much a requirement to do it like this for the extra bank space.
PC:- Writworthy To automate writ crafting and check the TTC prices
- Master Writ Inventory Marker To see I don't accidentally open a writ that I can't create.
- PersonalAssistant To automate bank transfers.
- Takes about hour or two to complite a few hundred writs.
