Community Manager
The Elder Scrolls Online v10.0.4 is the final PTS patch before Gold Road and Update 42 launch on PC/Mac on June 3. In this patch, we’ve focused on bug fixes affecting Scribing and content in West Weald, in addition to some fixes and tweaks for a few item sets and other combat effects. Note that with today’s patch, in order to test proper access, only those who have pre-purchased the Gold Road Chapter will have access to its content; templates are still available for those who do not have access and wish to continue testing. The size of this patch is 708MB. Thanks to everyone who submitted feedback and bug reports during this PTS cycle!

General- Fixed an issue where some effects were reducing damage taken in an additive manner, rather than a multiplicative manner, resulting in more mitigation than intended and creating some situations where 100% damage mitigation was achievable. This affects the following:
- Hardy Champion passive
- Elemental Aegis Champion passive
- Preparation Champion passive
- Heavy Armor’s martial damage taken reduction
- Heavy Armor’s damage taken reduction while CC Immune
- Light Armor’s magical damage taken reduction
Crafted Sets- Highland Sentinel: This set now only works while you have all 5-pieces of the set equipped and active. Unequipping the set removes all stacks of Sentinel’s Eye.
Mythic Items- The Saint and the Seducer: Fixed an issue where this set could passively remove enemies from stealth and invisibility.
PvP Sets- Dark Convergence: Fixed an issue where some of this set’s visuals were not removed when its effects were dispelled.
Trial Sets- Slivers of Null Arca: Increased the damage of this set by ~37%, to ensure it is more in line with other sets with similar restrictions and functionality requirements.
General- Fixed a crash that could occur when attempting to search for Grimoires in the Scribing or Skills UI.
- Fixed an issue where the basins would sometimes not fill up after unlocking completing a Luminary Wing.
- Updated the Luminary Door Wing animations
- Fixed an issue with the initial camera angle of the Scribing Altar.
Achievements- Fixed an issue where you couldn’t obtain the “Quite the Library” achievement.
- Fixed an issue where the Vulnerability Affix Script was incorrectly appearing in two achievements and Script Stores.
- Fixed an issue where the requirements for the discounted versions of Leeching Thirst and Immobilizing Strike were reversed.
Grimoires- Soul Burst
- Fixed an issue where Anchorite's Potency on Soul Burst would grant Ultimate to only one ally.
- Fixed an issue where Anchorite's Cruelty did not have the correct cooldown.
- The Anchorite's Cruelty script now correctly applies the Damage over Time aspect from last week’s changes.
- Vault
- Fixed an issue where your character would not take an appropriate amount of fall damage.
Scripts- Fixed an issue where you could previously purchase excess copies of the Class Mastery Script on a character who already knew it.
- Nightblade Class Mastery Signature Script: Increased the duration of this script's Critical Chance bonus to 5 seconds, up from 2.
Quests- Updated animations and camera angles on some characters from the Scribing questline.
- Second Era of Scribing: Fixed several issues with maps and quest assists throughout this quest.
- Wing of the Indrik: Delve bosses will now respawn quicker while on the quest step to slay them.
- Wing of the Gryphon:
- Fixed an issue where Foxroot would not show up if you did other Safeguard tasks first.
- Fixed some issues with visibility of Fables.
- Delve bosses will now respawn quicker while on the quest step to slay them.
- Fixed an issue where the Shadowy Creatia would not be removed from your inventory.
- Wing of the Dragon:
- Quest items for the step “The Riddle of the Rich” now shares across group members.
- Fixed an issue where the Dragon wouldn't let you leave her lair if you abandoned the quest. You are now free to go about your business.
- Finale:
- Fixed an issue where falling off the bridge would sometimes prevent you from continuing the quest.
- Fixed an issue where you could prematurely activate a ward during this quest, blocking progression.

Lucent Citadel Trial- General
- Darkcaster Slasher’s Creeping Dark ability will no longer drain resources quite as heavily when initially cast.
- The Expedited Excursion and Arcane Stabilizer achievements now require the trial to be completed within 30 minutes.
- All Books are now added to book collections.
- Updated the audio throughout the Trial.
- Arcane Knot (Final Encounter)
- Fixed an issue where you were occasionally prevented from using doors.
- No additional Arcane Knots will be created when the Arcane Knot is deposited in the Null Arca.
- Defense Prisms will no longer trigger Detonation immediately after defeat.
- Arcane Conveyance will no longer strike tethered targets.
- Necrotic Barrage will no longer dispel player abilities.
- The visual effects for the Arcane Knot will now always be removed when your character dies while carrying it.
- Reduced the duration of Splintered Passage.
General- Fixed some floating and misplaced resource nodes and treasure chests throughout the zone.
General- Fixed some issues affecting monster respawn rates.
- Stranglers now aggressively interact with passersby.
- Fixed an issue where a Mirrorplasm respawned continuously in Fort Hastrel.
Mirrormoor Incursions- Adjusted the visual effects for Mirrormoor Incursions and the Fractured Remnant.
Quests- Hold the Line: You can no longer enter portal until you’ve finished talking to Tribune Alea Idolus.
- Ithelia’s Fate:
Fixed an issue during the fight where Ithelia was considered a justice NPC and would award the murder achievement after defeating her.
- Ithelia’s Fury:
- Leramil now finishes her casting animation before the portal she creates appears.
- If you log out during the echonir scene, you will now return to see Ithelia and Torvesard fade out properly.
- King Nantharion’s Gambit:
- Adjusted the quest radius for using Abaolisher.
- Miscarcand Well now glows in accordance with other wells in the game.
- Loan Recall: Moved a quest item out of its “hiding place” inside a tree.
- Relics of the Three Princes: The Ayleid Vigilant no longer slides across the floor when attacking.
- Skingrad Seeks Adventurers: Fixed an issue where low level players could not complete this quest if it were shared.
- The Many Paths:
- You can now interact with the controls for the mixing machine below the Outcast Inn more easily.
- Some monsters are now vulnerable to Blade of Woe.
- The Missing Cohort:
- You can now discover the portal anchors as a group.
- You can now share the destruction of the Daedric Anchors with group members.
- You can now share the activity of reading the letter discovered in the barracks.
- Tracking the Trapper: Fixed a typo in in the quest tracker goal text.

Battlegrounds- Fixed an issue where the group UI would not display all team/group members when in a Battleground.
Homes- Adjusted one of the lanterns in the Zhan Khaj Crest home so it no longer floats.
- Adjusted the position of one of the carpets in the Linchal Grand Manor so it can be properly selected.
Housing- Fixed an issue with some overlapping keybinds in the Housing Editor.
