I just walked up to a populated fight got disconnected. Now I have to wait in a 40man que to get back in. Can we get a grace period of 5 min or something to get back in please

100% agree to this, if you crash due to a performance problem on ESO’s end, you should not be penalized for it.

Leaving Cyrodiil by Wayshrine could still reset your position in queue as it was an intentional action of the player to leave the Campaign.

This seems so obvious, it's almost shocking it has to be asked for.

Yeah I got kicked three times near fights yesterday. Twice when I tried to get back in it kept saying "That account is already logged in." Then when I finally got in, selected my character, got the Cyrodiil loading screen, and then "Lost lobby connection." After about three tries each time, I got back in to where I was on the battlefield. The third time it took me right back to Cyrodiil, but at the spawn in point at the base, so I lost the cap tick, through no fault of my own. Lost a cold fire ballista in the process, too. Right after I set it down on the edge of the roof at Nik, my screen grayed out. Lost multiple cold fires and lancers that way over the years.

So there appears to be some sort of grace period already, as the queue was still pretty high at the time. It would be nice if they fixed their game so crashes like that didn't happen (my connection was fine, other online programs had no issues), but I've been around long enough to know to expect persistent dysfunction when it comes to Cyrodiil.

a grace period would be nice, although it would lead to longer wait times.

Delves/Cheesemongers is also an issue- it's obvious that you shouldn't go into delves when it's near pop lock, but sometimes there's areas where you can fall in or bait others into falling into delves, and it might take anywhere from 5-20 minutes spam attempting to leave the delve for it to actually work.

Additionally, cheesemongers is the staple fix for combat bug- if you enter it, you sometimes run into the same issue with delves.

For these reasons, this grace period should be looked into- if not due to stability issues, then because of what it does to individuals going into delves and cheesemongers.

Same thing happens to me, often. I lost a Cold Fire as well.

Sure , and if your character is idle for 10min then booted so others can enter. Outside of bio breaks, play or please leave cyro.

Agreed. I had 2hrs to play before I went to work on the only day we are all on. Got into q early. Played for 20 mins. Walked up to fight and booted. Spammed to log back on and “account already logged in”. Finally got in Deshaan. Q 45 there goes half the time. Blackreach empty imperial city empty.

Makes perfect sense to me. Now its some issues implementing it, we don't want Cyrodil queuing to end up like the dungeon finder with ghost positions and so on.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Well, the queue is actually already bugged. Multiple times I have queued up for Gray Host, and then after a period of playing in other zones (usually Imperial City) while I wait, I'll notice that the counter stops going down. And the only way to reset it is to log out, because the "Leave Queue" button doesn't work, or else is missing completely. Then you have to log back in, and start the process all over again.

A grace period means the queue takes even longer, probably significantly longer.

And the game would have to know whether you disconnected accidentally or on purpose.

I don't like the idea. As much as I don't like being disconnected I don't want to wait a half hour in queue either while people are working on their grace periods.

There is a grace period, at least on console.

Yeah, the grace period already exists. Its not perfect, but I would say that 95% of the time I crash in Cryo, I get right back in, even during events like MYM with a long queue. I have certainly been out of Cyro for longer than 5 minutes and got back in without needing to queue. Again, it certainly isn't perfect, but getting booted from Cyro and not getting back in is an anomaly.

The other day the q was so long I was in position 2 and there was only 2 bars when I finally got in.

The fact that you can only get the delve boss buff from delves, but then end up getting dropped back into the queue when the server is population locked is a problem in itself.

Can we please get a grace period for Cyro if we disconnect.

ESPECIALLY with 65 q times on a Wednesday

Queue times wouldn't be near as bad if the population cap wasn't so crazy low.
