Class-specific motif pages of Infinite Archive: Do they drop at all?

These motifs can be bought at the trader in the IA with IA-currency (like the Soulcleaver-Motif) by buying a golden container containing a random style page of that specific style.
As far as I know they are supposed to drop from bosses too, right? As of now I only got drops from the SET piece of my class but never an associated style sheet. So I wanted to ask the community: Can they drop and where can they drop? There are so many bosses and mini-bosses in the IA that it is unclear to me which bosses could drop it. Provided that they drop it.

Drop chance is low generally, I have had 2 in 1 run (usually go to arc 6 or 7) but it definitely isn't commonSoupy twist0 -

✭✭I've just wanted to write that apparantly I am cursed because none has dropped for me ever but how I got my first drop at endboss at end of arc 1.
I've reconstructed how many Tho'ats in total (irrespective of level) I have completed up to now. I've collected about 60 thausand IA currency. According to my experience I can collect about 4x220 + 1x440 minimum for one Tho'at kill = 1320 on arc 1 and 4x330 + 1x550(?) = 1870 on arc 2 not counting marauders and skamp and once a day the daily. As I usually succeed in killing Tho'at on arc 1 but mostly fail before her on arc 2 my average gain is somewhere between 2000 and 2500 (estimated) on the more optimistic side. So I would say I have killed Tho'at minimum 24 times for one single drop.
That drop rate is extremely low and I would think that it is impossible to complete the stickerboard with drops alone. So you likely will obtain most of your motifs from buying. Considering that you need 12000 IA money I need to complete about 5 to 6 arcs for one motif.
I have calculated that we have 109 available motif pages for all classes and armor and weapon parts (for some strange reason there is no weapon style for the sorc class if I see correctly - at least it does not show on the sticker board like the other class styles).
So provided you have really bad luck (like I tend to have apparantly) I'd need to play between 545 and 654 IA runs to complete the sticker board (reduced maybe by a few runs with those low rate drops) - provided that the styles are curated (which they likely are not). That is some hardcore grind here. At least for normal people like me who has the trifecta run for vetVateshran but probably just so with quite some effort on my side. Others are surely better and reach higher arcs and get higher gains and may reduce the grind by some percentage. It still looks pretty hardcore - and there is so much to buy with the currency that I wonder if ZOS really needs to put the threshold so high to motivate people to return to the IA.

✭As someone who has all 119 pages unlocked let me break down the grind for you.
First, the good news. Arc 1/2 are fine for farming the drops, I did it primarily by running through the early arcs solo so I could double dip by getting transmutes from the leaderboard.
Bad news time, the pages don't drop from all muniment chests, just Tho'at. The other sources are imps, maruaders, and portals to the unknown, so get used to doing them.
More Good News, they're curated, and drop for the current class until completed then for any random class afterwards, but you should never get a repeat drop.
Also, it's VERY much feast/famine, sometimes I didn't get any for a few days and on occasion I'd get 3+ in one run, it's all RNG.
That's it, it's a grind, it's a slog, and was it worth it? I dunno, but I did end up using all the styles on at least one character from each class.

✭I've most frequently gotten them from the scamp, but have occasionally (very rarely) gotten one from boss chests - both times it was from the chest after Tho’at Replicanum at the end of an arc. I've not gotten the pages from other Muniment Chests.
EDIT: @EdjeSwift , thanks for confirming that it's only the Tho'at chests, not the ones from other bosses, that drop them. I wasn't sure, since I haven't been looking to farm them.Edited by Kiyakotari on May 8, 2024 9:33AM1 -

✭✭✭✭✭yeah they are very RNG, there are some runs ive gotten 0, and other runs ive gotten as many as 6 (usually going to arc 4)
ive not bought a single page from the vendor, and have necromancer fully complete, and arcanist like 90% complete, and a smattering of some of the other classesplays PC/NA
