✭My ESO+ is via Steam and I always cancel immediately after I renew, because I prefer not to auto-renew. This means I'm pretty much permanently active but cancelled.
As of today the time my ESO+ ends has gone back by one month, and it has remained in the cancelled state, and my account has been credited one month worth of crowns.
So at least for Steam, everything seems in order.0
