Rejoice,

mundus stones get a 20% off today, and maybie for the forthcoming days (not sure).

Aetherial well too, as well as training dummies!

(I checked back every day the housing editor, for a bunch of weeks, these kind of sales are only visible there! So this can be missed. Today they are just in.)

Happy mundus stones or training dummies sales. :)

honestly even 20% off the mundus stones are far too expensive

20% off of 4000 crowns brings the cost per stone to 3200, which for all 12 stones thats still 38,000 crowns roughly

the base cost of the mundus stones should be 2000 each, and then have the 20% discount on that lol

I'm on board with this. I'm slowly picking up stuff to be able to perk out one of my houses and Mundus Stones are waaaay down on that list. Maybe if I were building a guildhall and guildies were gifting them to me, but this is not something I'm likely to buy out of my own pocket (maybe the two or three I use most commonly for the convenience factor).
I'm fresh out of outrage, but I could muster up some amused annoyance if required.

End game players buy this. This is also a free-to-play game, so the guy who wants the good stuff needs to buy the stuff for the price for him, and for the crowd who play for free.

But yes, personally I think it would have been better with the 40% off like last year, but alas.

Some solutions? To get your Mundus fix, buy crowns when they are on sales, and wait for the mundus sales a few months later.
Or the old method, study the market, earn gold, and let people buy them for you, with their own crowns, preferably when mundus are on sales.

    Cheers!

Most housing editor items seem to be on sale this month. Mundus stones, dummies, ulti well, fire logs, etc (not assistants). It's not just today. There's an easy to miss announcement in game. But thanks for the post to make people aware!

I noticed it when looking for fire logs. So I traded gold for crowns (to a trusted guildie ofc) for the only 4 ones I actually use, money well spent!

Yup. It's actually an expensive buy to play game because they charge the price of a new game every year to keep up with the chapters.

It is not. it is not free-to-play... It is buy-to-play with pay-to-win elements.

And I do agree that mundus stones even with discount are way to expensive. Especially considering that you can just port to nearest way-shrine that is closest to the Mundus Stone.

It is a shame cuz housing lacks functionality and placing mundus stones in house adds a lot of functionality. It is just the prices that are set too high (price vs value). Almost as if they were scuming you out of money lol.

Typical, I bought crowns during the sale around the Jubilee Event and used them to get the last 7 mundus I needed for my house.
Used this sale to buy the vampiric services though, so thanks :D

If they were 400 crowns each I would fit out the guild house with them all. Maybe they could do a master Mundus which would work like master crafting stations, just one Mundus and you select your boon.

At 4000, even with a discount, there is no way i am spending £hundreds for the guild, if people actually bothered to donate stuff to help then maybe, but the days of me spending my hard earned cash on people who take take take are long gone. So if ZOS want guild leaders to spend a bit on a master mundus I would be happy with that, but as it stands now I will spend nothing and people can do what I do and go look up where they are on the map and Tp to them.

Just out of curiosity, have you tried to get monetary donations for things like this?

My old wow guild used paid bots for discord, as well as server space for something I can't remember now because it's been so dang long, and our guild leader asked for donations for the costs. A few of us chipped in. We even chipped in to have a piece of artwork made of our raid team.

Won't work in every situation, but it could, just have to try.

Yes mate, been running guilds in STO and ESO since 2012, over the years I have spent thousands on websites, prizes, guild stores etc, and if I'm lucky I get about £50 a year back in donations, sometimes a bit more sometimes nothing. Very very few ever want to put their hand in their own pockets but are more than happy to milk the guild and use everything possible that's provided for them. I've drawn the line now, our websites are going off premium to free this year and I only buy for the guild what I myself will actually find useful. Occasionally someone gives a few million donation in gold which helps buy attunables for the master crafter stations, but not often. In any case, our STO fleets are dead, STO is a dying game and whilst ESO is still very much alive, findng new guild members is way more difficult than it was 5 years ago. Sign of the times I guess.

Still make those mundus 400 crowns and I'll buy them all, but 4K each and the ONLY place you can get them is just greedy and mean.

The 20% seems like a good deal until you realise that because of the astronomical starting price, the cost is still insane. It's the same with the clockwork crafting stations - even with the discount they're still twice the price of the Observatory Prior.

75% sale might tempt me, but nothing less than that.

they likely make far far more from crown crates than almost anything else in the store

most players will only ever buy mundus stones once, if at all

due to the price point on them, its ridiculous to try to do though

theres 13 mundus stones, even with the discount that is 39,200 crowns

the largest crown pack you can buy is 21,000 crowns for $150 USD (at normal price)

if you had 0 crowns stored up, you would have to buy 1 21,000 crown pack ($150), 1 14,000 crown pack ($100), and 1 5,500 crown pack ($40), at a bare minimum which is a total of $290 USD for the convenience of having the mundus stones in your house

that price is about 3x the cost of a single notable fully furnished house

the sale certainly helps, as the normal, non-sale, price point of all 13 mundus stones is 52,000 crowns

in order for me to actually want to buy them, i would want the base price reduced to 2000 crowns, putting the total cost at 26,000 crowns before any sale discounts were applied
