Nameplates

With the housing event going on and the sheer enormity of the new free desert domiciliary, got me thinking about a class of a new object "Nameplate" with a property of inscribable. So I could actually stick a sign outside my new Alchemy suite, with well you know a sign sort of saying "Alchemy".
In fact, it could lead to a new game mechanic. So, where I live in the West Country of the UK, on Dartmoor, there is a tradition of collecting "Stamps" from natural geological outcroppings from Tors, whereby peeps leave a can with an "Ink Stamp" in. You just find it and make an imprint on your sticker card. When you have collected all of them, you just take it to the nearest participating pub and get a free pint. You could have a similar system in game with "Hide Ables" located in players houses, that contain something desirable, that could be claimed, with a post it notes to the next collectable object worth having. It would certainly get the community to really take housing seriously.

Isn't there an Alchemy sign you can buy from the Alchemists around the game?

A sign with the input of any text. Yes. This is what any homeowner needs. You can write a greeting to the guests, add a description of the house, rooms, and objects. Even create an entire adventure quest

What if players put all kind of bad words, swearing, sex stuff, etc. on the signs?

One could always hope for a more mature attitude....

    Yeah, probably not.

Players can write all those things and anything else already in chat. Such players are reported. You don’t take away everyone’s ability to participate in chat.

I would love to see such furnishings, customizable books, parchments, signs, even houseguest dialogue (along with options in personality/emote)! :)
