Ingame mail auto char ID's auto filling that I never sent mail to

Hello

I have Googled this but cannot find an answer.

I noticed yesterday when I typed An to send an item through the mail ingame that two other names came up on the filter suggestions. I have never had any interaction with these people so I do not understand how their names came up.

My partner tried the same on his client and no name suggestion came up on his.

How does this happen when I have never sent mail to any of these people?

Sorry if this seems an odd question but it is important to me. Hoping someone knows.

Yeah, it is not just people you have mailed before. It seems to be who you have interacted with.

I have this happen to me quite a lot, I've never been too vocal in guilds or zone chat and yet when I go to send mail I have a long list of automatic player names that show up. While I don't find it a huge issue, it would be nice if it would only auto suggest for those on your friends list or whom you've sent mail to previously.
I always triple check that I'm sending mail to the right person rather than giving strangers some free runes or other mats. While most people should be responsible enough to check their recipients it would be nice to have an auto filter by friends list,

Its an auto fill. Will display the closest to what your typing.

As others stated, the auto-fill uses guildies, people from your friend's list, and people you have had interactions (whispers and the like). Always double or triple check the name of the person you're sending items to. I usually type enough of the name for only one name to show up in the auto-fill.
