Infinite Archive Puzzle corridor - no skills?

When in the IA this morning, I got the corridor puzzle side portal. And all of my skills were locked out (like I was the goat).
Every other time I've been in here, I've been able to slot Rapid Maneuver to run the puzzle, but not this time.

(ETA:) To Clarify: Losing access to my skills is new. Is that a bug, or by design?

Is this a new design change, or a bug?
I have the IA speed boost, and celerity, and there's no way I can cross that corridor solo without a source of major expedition. (I know how to do the puzzle.)

You can. You just need to flip the switches in roughly the right order and sprint through

As long as you flip the switches in the right order (starting by disabling the traps nearest to you), you can sprint through without any extra speed help.

Flip the first two then the others as efficently as possible then you can sprint even in heavy armour

I hate that room. Most of the time, trying to preview the switches it does not show until you run away and come back several times, making it difficult to keep track.

Weird - never had that happen and I've done all five. I generally just pop Wild Hunt on, flip the switches in order, and sprint. Never had to do it turtlin'.

I posted something in bugs section of the forum not knowing this was a new "feature". Very disappointing, as I usually used quick cloak, or path if on a NB. Planning on keeping a Wild Hunt on my toons at all times in the Archive because you can't bring out the bankers. I failed the first time, succeeded the second time, but I was using 5 or 6 medium armor so that might have helped.

TLDR worst change ever since leads are tied to chests, not easy to sprint through solo doing them in the right order even if there's no interact lag

Thanks for the Wild Hunt suggestion. That makes it possible to cross the corridor in time.

I believe it's intended to avoid a cheese with specific skills, such as the Arcanist's portal. You could skip the last switch with it.

Switch to first person view, it works that way for some reason.

Isn't skipping barriers sort of the idea of a portal spell?

With Celerity and the Ring of the Wild hunt, I can now reliably cross in medium armor. Dark elf arc.
