"Precognition" (Psijic Order ultimate) - CC immunity from un-soloable bosses?

This morph looks really neat. It says something like "grants immunity to CC and breaks current CC".

Does anyone know if this can help me break out of some of those pesky bosses' CC? For example I remember there is one boss chick I couldn't solo because she ties me down permanently (sounds kinky, lol) and "executes" me while I'm stun locked, and you can't use the "break free" mechanic on it. You are completely under her control and there is nothing you can do if your group members aren't there to bail you out. Would this work on her?

(It sounds like it would be too good to be true...)

it does work. It's the only way to beat solo Wayrest Sewers 2 or Vaults of Madness for example.

What is unsoloable about the Vaults of Madness? Why would anyone need Precognition there?

I do not believe Precognition works on Malubeth, though I haven't tested it in a couple of years. VoM does not require it.

edit: The food trick no longer seems to work. In addition they have removed the items you could crouch behind to allow your pets or companion to solo her. [snip]

Wayrest Sewers 2 first boss can be finished only with companion as DD while you heal him standing as far away as possible. Precognition doesn't work there.

Precognition barely works anywhere at all. The only boss i know, that indeed requires this skill is skeleton dude in Fang Lair. Though there is super tricky timings there, when you need to use this ultimate in like 0.3 seconds window right after final ghost pull.

Working Precognition is almost the same as working Cleans when you want to cleans PvE boss dots from you. it's not gonna work that way. All of these skills are basically made for PvP.

You can definitely solo vaults without it.

FG2 and CoH2 are soloable with Psijic Order "Precognition" ultimate.
This helps to break the cocoon and Ebony Blade CC. Did this myself.

I think Malubeth can still be done with a companion on a heavy attack sorc. I did about a year ago (I think) when hunting for a lead from WS2. You need to stand at the stairs at the very range of the HA while allowing the companion tank keep it busy at the far end of the room. It was a slog though.

Yes, it does.

It also works on the 'Gatekeeping Troll' (was this a wink from the devs or am I reading too much into it?) in FV.

You can do VoM without it, did it +-120 times myself pre-curation and pre-companions farming Worm's ice staff. It is tedious but not particularly challenging.

Never tried on FG2, WS2 or CoH2 because I never had a reason to farm those.

Ooh, I might finally get the group event in the castle public dungeon in High Isle completed, then. It also has the "stun attack until someone else breaks it" mechanic that made it impossible for me to get the achievement so far (there are never any other players around in there, for some reason).

Since Zaan is current monster set motif to drop I can add that precognition works on last boss's beam that catches one random person and it works when You're being fossilized in SCP either.

FG 2 also can be soloable with good control of your companion to break chain for you but not aggro boss herself

Precognition works in some cases, but you need to have good ult regen to get it back up before you're CC'd again, or have enough DPS to burn the boss before that happens.

I was able to easily solo the hunger WB on Vvardenfell with Precognition but couldn't solo the second boss in FG2 since she just CC'd me again right away. It's been a while though so maybe I'll try again.

I don't know if they made Wuyuvus easier to solo recently, but I did it without Precognition during the anniversary event. It releases you before you die if you have a shield or a healer companion.

It works on some bosses like Fungal Grotto II and Zaan iirc but not Crypt of Hearts II spider, The Unmaker, Wayrest II Malubeth. I really wish it worked on all bosses, trying to challenge myself to solo things can be fun.

Precognition only works on certain mechanics, and sometimes, requires specific timing in order to work. For example, the Ulfnor boss in Fang Lair has a mechanic where 1 player gets chained over to a ghost. You need to wait a beat to use Precognition or you will not escape the chain.
