Why I am unsubbing.

Let me first start by saying this. Fanboys, please try to refrain from attacking me or this post, you are the reason games are released in the state they are in.

With that being said, let's get right down to it.

There are several reasons I am unsubbing. One of the main reasons being is the cost. The fact that ESO is $60 up front, with a monthly subscription fee of $15 is steep. When this game goes F2P, I may come back for a bit.

Now some games are worth their sub fee, but this one is not. ESO has managed to fall in almost lockstep with EA and SWTOR. The problem with this particular MMO is what has become common with all MMOs, it was pushed out the door before it was ready for release. I was sold an incomplete game. ESO has managed to destroy it's ingame economy in less than a week. By failing to remove the Duplication glitch prior to release, unknown numbers of players have become infiniteairs. Numerous glitches remained after Launch to include the infinite Jute nodes, which Bots loved to farm for hours.

Speaking of Bots, there has not been a single day I have played ESO in the last month that I have not encountered a horde of bots either farming the dungeon boss, or scripted to destroy mobs on a set path, usually smack in the middle of my questline. I get more mail though bogus Gold Farmers than I do from selling my items.

This has to be the worst MMO for grouping I have ever played. ESO actually punishes players for grouping for quests. It is unbelievable watching a fellow player zone out, while in my party, trying to complete a quest with me.

Guilds...Guilds are not meant to be Auction Houses for players. The whole idea of having a guild is to quest/PVP/ and help each other out. Having a Guild Auction House does nothing to create a sense of belonging. On top of that, the Guild Auction House has to be one the most poorly scripted applications in any MMO I have ever seen. With no ability to separate items by name, or even search for an item, I find myself driving though pages of listings, trying to find that one crafting material.

Unbalanced-Vampires win, period. Next.

Getting stuck, glitching though walls, and falling though the floor is a daily occurrence with this game.

5 Action Bars, 1 Ultimate bar, and 1 potion bar attached to a wheel is unacceptable. How can you boast about Character creation when I am limited to only 5 Abilities? There are a total of 36 different Active Abilities a player can use at any one time, (38 if you are a Vampire/Werewolf), and I am restricted to 2 bars of 5. This game feels like it was intentionally dumbed down to fit the controller style of a console.
I salute my Half Life War Boys, who will ride with me eternal on the highways of Valhalla. I am your redeemer. It is by my hand you will rise from the ashes of this world.

aaaaaaaaaaaand stopped reading there. When are you morons going to figure out that saying that just makes you look stupid? It is literally baiting for a heated discussion. I'll never know if your post was insightful and if you made any good points because I know, because you made the warcall of the idiot, that if I disagree with ANY point you make. I'm a fanboy(girl).

    good bye.

While you had a couple good points, It is hard to give consideration to them when you start out your post the way you did. There was a lot of feedback given during PTS testing. Some was changed/fixed, some was not. Calling out everyone who still tolerates the problems (gee everything not fixed after a whole month) and wants to play is silly.

The game purchase and sub fee combined is barely a tank of gas in my Jeep or the amount of my monthly electric bill. Certainly does not compete in cost with my other entertainment, fast cars. So to some of us this is cheap.

While I do not really need the economy at this point, I agree about ZOS failing (so far) on the bots.

The grouping is rather clumsy in this game.

    Vampires got nerfed I heard.

Guild auction house is better than no auction house I suppose.

I have had almost no stuck or falling through the terrain since beta.

10 action bars and 2 ultimate's can get the job done.

See you if/when it goes F2P. Then you can P2W at the online store, which you will not like either.

I agree on everything but the action bar limit. I like having to make choices about the skills personally. However, you are right when you said the game isn't worth the sub fee atm. They can fix it, and I'll try again in 6 months (when the game should have been released imo), and give it a shot then, but this current state is shameful. Wildstar beta right now has more polish than this "release" game.

As it stands now, paying a sub fee is paying to beta test ESO.

I disagree with your last point. I like the 5 skill bar. It makes the game more enjoyable and makes it more balanced for people without a gaming mouse. I recently got a gaming mouse after playing the first few weeks with a regular one. The difference is astounding. No more movement problems when trying to use skills past 5. No more missing wasd after using a skill. If they made it 10 skills on a bar, not only would the game be too easy, but those with a gaming mouse would be victors while those without would be stuck still using 5 abilities(all they could reach. If I had 10 skills on my bar, half of them would boost my armor making me invulnerable and the other half would be damage dealers without compromise. What makes this game great is the need to compromise and try new things.

I don't agree with everything the OP said, but to be fair they do make some key points that need looking at, for sure. It's shame some people are considering unsubbing, but not entirely surprising. I'm sticking with it for now tbh.
