Things that bother me(Lore)

Good morning,

i was not able to find the right category for this topic. Though npc guilds seem to be the most suitable one.
The Lore Book "The Lusty Argonian Maid" for the mages guild bothers me a lot right now. I have found it several days ago and i try not to think too much about it but it keeps being in the back of my mind and from time to time surfaces up when talking to fellow guildmembers. Let me explain why. I have played Elder Scrolls since Part III Morrowind and below i will qoute something.

"Crassius Curio is an Imperial noble. He is also a writer, having written the plays "The Lusty Argonian Maid"
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Crassius_Curio

Elder Scrolls Online plays 1000 years before Elder Scrolls part V Skyrim right? Crassius Curio is a character from Elder Scrolls part III Morrowind. Events that happened during Morrowind were 300 years ago compared to Skyrim. So coming back to Elder Scroll Online... how can a book be found that has yet to be written in the future 700 years ahead of time?

Maybe he took credit for an older work or maybe an older work was credited to him over the centuries. Or maybe there are 2 different books by the same name.

This one remembers this debacle. Ri'Dariit asked M'aiq and his grandfather in this time and age confirmed that Crassius Curio was a sneak-thief. He found the book when he was young and the "dirty" content and his rich "connection" made the Imperial a famous author of the Lusty Argonian Maid. This one knows though that besides that book, Curio never released anything else. Coincidence perhaps, this one heard rumors of part three the Imperial never found.

I thought moon sugar was supposed to be lethal to non khajiiti, so why do we use it as a common crafting material?

Well he did write "The Dance Of The Three-Legged Guar". You just did not have the pleasure to read about it.

Your explanation resembles the one a guild fellow gave me about Nirnroot and its discovery. It looked like it was rediscovered in part IV "Oblivion" of the Elder Scrolls Series.
"Sinderion's interest in the Nirnroot began when he purchased a dusty alchemical tome from an adventurer.... detailed a potion called the "Elixir of Exploration". This potion brought out the huge magical potential of the rare Nirnroot." But M´aiq the liar is not a trustworthy source isn`t he?

Also, orcs got rights of sentient creatures shortly before the events of morrowind. They shouldn't be playable race unless I've missed something like temporary agreement or stuff like that.

Orcs have gained and lost rights several times(for long periods). So lorewise there is no problem with that. And yeah i think i can tag along with a reasonable lore explanation for now. Just wish it would be implemented in ESO as well.

Actually in game there is a book detailing the history of "The Lusty Argonian Maid" or it's variations. There is also a song in a book about it.

I'm willing to chalk that and some other things up to a Dragon Break. For others... Tamrielic history is very cyclic, and remember: We have never read any lore that was written by a perfectly reliable narrator.

They also made it so Arkay can cure vampirism when it clearly says in the book on vampirism he was powerless to stop it.

Oh, and they added a weird Redguards can't fight their undead which makes them crazy push over now. Plus Redguard who have always looked down on other races that could not defend their borders now have Imperials 2/3rds of their way into Hammerfall while everyone else fights on the border. Not to mention the Cyrodiil entrances say High Rock gate when High Rock doesn't even touch Cyrodiil... Honestly it is pretty clear for whatever reason they just hate Redgaurds a ton but when I bring it up there is never a response.

I was kind of sad when I found that book, and then the "Guide to Thievery" or whatever it's called where the thief claims he was the one to steal the Elder Scroll from the White Gold Tower, and acted like it's something that everyone should know happened. But it never happened until Oblivion.

I've also noticed minor mistake, luckily they can be fixed. An npc in the Rift mentions Markarth, when Markarth was founded by Tiber Septim.

Wasn't Markath a Dwemer Ruin that Tiber Septim colonised, the Ruin should still exist and be called Markath.

Edit- It occurs to me that the context of how Markath is metioned is important, is it mentioned as a city, if so then it would be an error.

It wasn't called Markarth back then. The ruined city was called Nchuand-Zel. And Markarth is a name given to the area by the Nords when they conquered it.

I'm pretty sure he wrote the play version, not the original version. I remembered reading a different book stating that, '' they made this into a play'' . It was a review of it or somewhat rather. But still very strange

Remember, we are in the middle of the Interregnum. it is essentially the Dark Ages of Tamriel. just like our own dark ages, stuff gets forgotten. books are lost and burned, people forget about old heroes and Myth becomes legend and legend becomes myth and all Lady Galadriels jazz.
