not getting access code

reposting cause I put it in the wrong forum
Returning player here. When I logged in at the website it sent me an access code right away and it worked, but when I tried to log into the game (with the same credentials) it said it was sending another access code but it never did. Ive tried updating my email address. It wasnt incorrect but I updated it anyway just in case. The website again sent me an access code which worked for the email update, but I still cant log into the game itself because it never sends the access code. Its a day later and it hasnt changed.

This is the game downloaded from eso not steam if that makes a difference. I bought it before it was on steam and its not linked to my steam account.

    Ok going through the numbers in the guide.
    1. I didnt buy it through steam, I bought it from ESO when it first released.
    2. I do have email from noreply@mail.elderscrollsonline.com, but it came when I logged into my account at the website. I never got an email from the game login attempt.
    3. Ive used the exact username and password that works when I login for my account at the eso website so it has to be correct.
    4. As Ive received email from noreply@mail.elderscrollsonline.com, I know its not being blocked. Im just not getting one from the game login.
    5. Ive checked my spam and trash folders. Its not there.
    6. Ive waited 10 minutes and then waited 24 hours, and as mentioned Ive updated my email address too.
    7. Ive added exclusions for eso64.exe, and allowed tcp/udp traffic through the stated addresses. I dont see how that could prevent me from receiving emails from you but ok tried that too.

    Thats all the suggestions from the list. Next is the account recovery page. Will let you know how it goes.

    OMG. Right after I put in a ticket I got the access code email. Must have been stuck somewhere. IDK.
