so much death

one thing I've noticed about ESO is the amount of casual death there is in the quests.

Pretty sure that the majority of quests i've come across has at least one person die - this will either be the quest giver, their mother, father, son, daughter, BFF, and their dog.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Not bashing the game - I think its great. I just find some of the quests rather odd lol

Yeah, especially since we all know how rarely people died of anything other than old age during those sword wielding, land raiding days of past ...

Actually I'm not sure any pets die on camera in ESO... humanoids are fair game though.

It actually starts to get depressing how frequently "choose the person to sacrifice" choices in quests come up. It loses its impact after the first half-dozen.

No cats were harmed in the making of ESO.

Human scarifies? My moral Compass jumps out of its bearings.

1/3 of all quests I do not do because of this... I rather grind and butcher innocent critters....wait...something is not quite right here.... why do I butcher animals? That is so cruel.

Yes... ESO is a game about death and focused on death, played with a Char that is already dead (no soul) and has no morals at all and is twice dead as the many Vampires attest to.

In ESO you are a KILLER! and a murderous sort of Hero... in real life you would be on Death row for this.

From a moral point of view... there is nothing good about ESO... or in other words... morally speaking ESO is trash altogether. But than...who cares?

yes...all the above is sarcasm and satire.... or is it?

Um, there is no such thing as killing digital pixels as they are not alive to begin with. Not to mention that real people do not come in races like cats, elves, amphibians, etc. nor do fireballs and electricity shoot from their hands.

If you are that far removed from reality, don't play games. Oh, and don't watch TV and movies or read books, either. Nothing to see here, move along.

    Arrrgh DEMON DIE!

What, what do you mean this aint the damn matrix, oh crap, this is REAL!!!

So that man i just plunged a sword into was a real, living, breathing human being...no wonder the blood felt so legitimate.

OH GOD I'M SO SCREWED, I'M SO SCREWED

I hear the sirens on the way I hear the sirens on the way I hear the sirens on the way I hear the sirens on the wayyyyyyyooooooooooaaaaaaaaahhhhh.

That's why the game has an M rating.

People have probably gotten used to WoW questing where nobody dies and there is no emotional involvement in doing the quests.

I won't name the quest, but there was one where I knew they were going to sacrifice themselves, and I hoped they wouldn't ... but they did, and man did I cry because just how it was put together.

These games have always had a lot of death in them. I'm all about the storytelling. I just don't like how linear and uninvolved I feel in many of the quests though.

    Eh.
