For a 10 year anniversary event this was disappointing

I didn't have any expectations (I almost never do) - after losing out on the last indrik I wanted (until next Q1, if they're still going - yes, I know "what they said" but I believe I'm justified in feeling iffy that will continue) because I had issues setting up my new machine and missed the last 5 days of Jester's; and then being very ill for about 10 days of the Jubilee - it's a really good thing I did NOT have any expectations.

I'm happy with the motifs I've got that I didn't know. I'm happy I'm finishing the event with 12/12 tickets on 3 accounts both PC megaservers. I'm happy with my new machine, happy I got my addons mess sorted, happy I'm not sick. And I really appreciate the little gryphon pet and the costume.

    That'll have to do.

The actual anniversary holiday event, I think most can agree, was a tale of two halves. The half that got and the half that didn't.
    Fixed it for you:
The half that got (banned) and the half that didn't (get the style page drops)

Jokes aside: before this event I do agree things were going pretty well. The increased monthly rewards were welcome. I hope they keep that up in the future.

Well no, not everyone who didn't get banned, got all the replica style pages.

    Ah nm read it wrong.

Though I deliberately refrained from the use of the word 'banned' as it has become a highly charged topic atm. However some might say, those who got banned didn't get also (mats/motifs/transmutes/play-time).

The event was fine. Didn't do two of the grinds. Took advantage of the free DLC for other accounts. Got the cake slices, cakes, and mount. On main account got the free mount from TG. Who knows what the housing spotlight may bring in May... so like they said it is spread out and not just confined to the jubilee anniversary event.

YOu seem to be complaining mostly about the rewards given...

But for me it just lacked "oomph".

I agree with your point however, something celebrating the beginning of the game, where it all started.

If I were the game director I would have made an entire new quest chain which celebrated the launch, followed by each DLC chronologially. Nothing monumental, mind you. Just a few short tasks of middling difficulty/time investment for each chapter/year/dlc/whatever of ESO since launch, which truly relives the style and atmosphere of each chapter. The idea of each leg of the quest would sort of be like...

1 - "hey, remember the launch?
2 - "hey, remember Craglorn after that"
3 - Hey, remember how we added the DB and TG after that?
    4- etc, etc.

Just a few tasks for each "chunk" of ESO's history, with a bit of voice acting and such. I dunno, just an idea. Instead of some decorations and a (frankly) goofy looking horse with some costumes.

So far this 10 year celebration I have gotten:

More free crown crates, seals of endeavors, pets, costumes, mementos, emotes, houseguests and mounts than I think have ever been given away as daily login rewards.

    Wrothgar DLC
    3 x Associated costumes
    1 x Associated mount
    1 x Associated pet

    Theives Guild DLC
    1 x associated mount
A choice of very generous weekly endeavors

As such I think ZOS has been very magnanimous.

The actual anniversary holiday event, I think most can agree, was a tale of two halves. The half that got and the half that didn't.

However, the giveaways thus so far have been very lavish I feel, and as the year progresses (ZOS claiming a year of celebrations to commemorate 10 years of The Elder Scrolls Online), I am sure there will be more to come.

    3 lack lustre costumes
    1 lacklustre mount
    1 lacklustre pet.

    1 lacklustre mount

Not to mention some of these costumes, mounts and pets people already owned. These were not new items and not interesting enough to be unique or impressive.
I wouldn't call the endeavours generous, nice but it's nothing monumental.

Can't say that I engaged too much with the event, but the login reward costume is pretty sick. 10/10, would log in again.

ZOS gave us very little in this 10 year event. I wonder why is it so difficult to favor the players just for a moment, and offer a nice experience of rewards in commemoration of so many years playing.

This is so sad and frustrating.

It hasn't impressed me as a 10th anniversary event, and having just returned, even last month's login rewards were better, but given their history with events - essentially overdoing them in every way imaginable - they're in a no-win position in terms of pleasing players.

If the rewards are too awesome then players feel trapped into participating.

In events which are relentlessly constant.

If the rewards aren't aweseome enough, then players feel undervalued.

I think they shut their eyes, threw at a dart at a board and it hit that ridiculous outfit and that's what we got.

That mount is also a nothing. I couldn't care less about not having it.

I also don't care for Molag Bal. He's horrible.

If I met him for realz I'd want to kick him in the you-know-whats. I wouldn't want a mini-him following me around.

So the horse is least it's an alternative to spend tickets on.

Pretty much my sentiments exactly. Looking forward to the year to come. Flaws and all, best game and community out there(game, not necessarily forums). Nothing is 100% perfect, I'm here for the long term and like all else enjoy what you get..get over the rest.

I liked the event, but it didn’t really feel like a special 10 year anniversary, no. I also saw very quickly that the drop rate on those new style pages was so low, it was a waste of time to mess with getting them unless you have a special look in mind. So, since I already have a look I like, and I’m NOT changing it, I didn’t bother to spend my time hunting for styles I won’t even use. All my ESO friends who did go for them were exhausted, frustrated, and extremely burned out at the thought of playing another hour of ESO by that last day. Most everyone I know who usually has fun doing dungeons, trials, arenas, quests, trading, housing, crafting, PvP, they were standing at dolmens, fishing holes, vvardenfell WBs, and geysers, getting grumpier as the days wore on. I wasn’t burned out or grumpy, but then, I wasn’t farming the same few world events for two weeks on end with no special reward in sight. I just did my usual all-characters crafting dailies for jubilee, like i did in years 2-9, and then did my usual other stuff, that is IF I could find a group. That part was harder, the group thing, because there were so few people not farming the style pages, even on the very last day. I kinda wished my friends were with me, actually playing the parts of the game they enjoy during the special event. I missed them!

I'm just disappointed with the drop rates of the collectibles and the unique way to aqcquire them.
So, as I wrote in another thread, this year I skipped the possibility of endless hours until the drops happen.
First collectibles I miss on my 10 year run. But real life comes 1st.

I would like to see more visual representation for their events. I find the decorations always lacking.

They have a specific formula for these events and it’s become very copy and paste.

Specific decorations, npcs dressed up in costumes, npcs playing specific music, etc
Crown Crates are a trap. Don't fall for the gamble! Balance? What Balance? Balance, smellance.
    Necro for them RP feels.

I liked it, had a lot of fun and for me it was exactly what was advertised, a free loot spectacle. I find it absurd that players want free Crowns, enough Endeavours for an Apex mount or whatever. Some ideas here are just so unrealistic that people are not disappointed by ZOS in the end, they’re disappointed by their sky high expectations.

It’s great you got to play during the event and enjoy it. The free Crowns and Endeavors are the compensation ZOS is offering to those who didn’t get to play during the event and enjoy it like you did just because they were excited to go onto the PTS server when it came up to see the next chapter. Nothing can ever replace the experience of actually getting to play during the event.

I think we should all receive compensation for how awful the drop rates were and how uninspired this event was.
