You have my sympathies. Dye variations across different styles / outfits can be extreme. I think all long time players would understand your disappointment.

Since the point of giving away those dyes is to encourage spending in the crown store and those sets are not guaranteed to look good on every outfit, from a profit perspective - which we know drives decisions - it doesn't make any sense to lock players into them.

What they should do is add a new dye set which returns an outfit to default colours and for every dye set sold / given away, also give one of those.
