With the upcoming Scribing technique to "polish" skills, have you tought about how it will affect pvp?(pen x crit, ar x HP...) Or we will stay at the inevitable. PvE pays the bill

    I'm going to make a prediction. Let me get my 8-ball, my crystal ball and this bowling ball.

    1) Ball groups will be able to add extra utility to their builds. They will still be able to be killed once in a while, but the added power will enable these groups to become more advanced and more reliable. Thus harder to kill and smarter ball groups.
    2) Mag Sorcs will also expand on their limited skillset (I say limited but very powerful and effective). Sorcs are already extremely powerful and my NB can't even compete anymore. If Sorc even looks in my direction I just log off. But this will allow Sorc to expand their toolkits and make up for some abilities they cannot currently slot together. On that note, the 40m detect pot has pretty much taken NBs out of any serious PvP btw.
    3) Anyone whose strong in PvE will become even stronger. You'll end up with some people who can't be killed except thru one-shot mechanics.

    All those 'little' bonuses will add up and you'll have the strong players, strong groups now running around with even more power however those out there who don't have a strong foundation now will not be any stronger then until they also meet the learning curve for it. In short, scribing will allow some to increase in power yet overall, I feel it will not be good for balancing the game and it will have a similar effect like when they added the mythic sets.

    Exactly right. The more variables that are introduced into the equation, the stronger the organized groups will become. And since ball groups are smart enough not to fight other ball groups, the solo and PUG suffering will intensify.

    Doubtless these changes will impact on PvP, probably more so than on PvE, but hopefully in a way that will be fully discussed on the PvP Combat and Skills forum :wink: !

    Basically I don't care what things are possible, as long as the main problem is not adressed: The cross-healing and tankiness needs to be tuned down. Vampire undeath needs to be tuned down.

    OP was probably further ahead not to post the discussion at all. No one or few goto those places so it makes for a better discussion to have these posts where everyone can see them easier. I wish instead of posting things on here trying to hunt down and correct everyone, probably some of us that you don't particularly care for, why not just post something meaningful to the discussion and actually contribute in a respectful and meaningful way to what we're actually talking about.

    They did this yesterday and there's no point posting anymore if every post someone is going to keep complaining about the post itself. You can move it all you like but no one will really care about it anymore after you do. Hence a reason I'm pretty done with the forums at this point. If ZOS ever has some kind of online platform that's free for us to actually talk about things then yeah I'd love to participate but not the way it is now so.

    Have you seen the Update 42 sets yet? ZOS is buffing tankiness, and adding new options for the permablock/troll tanking crew. So PUGs and solos get to choose between fighting unkillable blocktanks or unkillable ball groups.

    Fun times ahead.

    This! that f vampire passive has been the main culprit to the ever raging tankmeta that creates such subpar pvp in cyrodiil. (IMO)

    With current state of scribing it will heavily affect PvP. Some combinations are just straight broken.

    Well crosshealing and tankiness is being further buffed and strong crosshielding will be added on top of it.

    Doubless these changes will create even more problems in PvP, probably more than anyone at ZOS has considered.

    This isn't on a spammable though. Seems good for fighting ball groups but thats mostly it.

    Ayleid Refuge – Heavy

    2 – Adds 1096 Max Stamina
    3 – Adds 1206 Max Health
    4 – Adds 1206 Max Health
    5 – Blocking an attack reduces your Damage Taken by 11% for 3 seconds.


    Rourken Steamguards – Heavy Hands

    Activating Block while in combat grants you Steam Guardian for 0.5 seconds, reducing your damage taken by 99%. This effect can occur once every 10 seconds.
    Blocking an attack while Steam Guardian is active reduces its cooldown by 5 seconds.
