We should be able to get both morphs of a skill

I was doing veteran Bloodrot Forge last night when the healer admitted that he wasn't a real healer and that we were going to have to slot a self-heal. As I was on my magplar, I would have loved to swap out my DoT morph of Ritual of Retribution for the HoT morph, Extended Ritual. It feels really strange that since none of the other 4 skills had been bought, I could literally add any healing skill to my bar except for the one I really needed.

Likewise, there have been times when I've been on my warden when I've liked to swap out Subterranean Assualt for Deep Fissure to make up for a lack of tank in the group. Ditto on my sorc with swapping the Twilight Tormentor for the Twilight Matriarch when I need more heals.

We have a literal armory system that allows us to change between completely different attributes, skills, and equipment setups (as well as Vamp and Werewolf) but we can't swap out a single morph when we really need it. We are also in a strange situation where with each new chapter and dungeon, the number of skill points available increases but the number of skills we buy have not changed in Greymoor.

So my suggestion is why not allow us to select and spend 2 skill points getting both morphs of a skill e.g. For Vigor, we can get both Echoing Vigor and Resolving Vigor. It would be easy to make it so that we couldn't have both morphs in our skill bar to prevent builds becoming OP.

This would be a massive quality of life improvement.

Solution would be to just integrate the current "re-morph skills" screen from skill respect altar into the skill panel all the time.

So you spend a skill point on a skill - it becomes available
You spend a skill point on a morph - that morph becomes available
If you need to swap to the other morph - click the arrow and change the morph

That being said, all skills from all skill lines could do with an overhaul so we don't have that overlap in use (which only seems to be the case for the older classes, the DLC classes don't seem to have this problem)

Also.....we need more combat-focussed skill lines (new magicka weapons!!!)

Yes please and a Magicka-Spear/Shield Combo would be fun, something 1handed/dual wieldable too. So tired of using a staff for healing and dps just because of magicka.

I want to use a magicka bow sometimes too you know :(

Could the armory be used to accomplish this?

Save the build in the armoury with the skill unmorphed (ideally you have an armoury assistant)

I mean technically we can already do that.

We just need to purchase further Skill Re-Specification Scrolls from the Crown Store if we have already used the one that is gifted during levelling up the character or the ones coming from login rewards.

In other words, we are welcome to throw money at the problem.

EDIT: I don't know if the scrolls obey the same rules as the armoury assistant, ie cannot be used in dungeons/trials etc, or not. I have never tried myself.

We need a rework of the skill page. In my opinion, it should have been like Skyrim from the very beginning.

Yes, if you are willing to use up an armory slot. Also, you will need to buy the Armory NPC to be able to do it on the fly in a dungeon.

Agreed. It would also be nice if there were more than 2 morphs for each skill and wel could slot the ones we wanted like in the CP tree.

Maybe Scribing will get use there in the next year or so.
