PS/NA, about 3 hours ago. Roebeck (I think) postern. I was the Arc in the horned helmet lining up a bow shot. Didn't see you at all until it was too late. I mean when I say, good stuff. If you've got a recording, post it somewhere, because that's how ganking should be done. I was in actual awe and disbelief.

There's a PC streamer who plays a Nightblade in Cyrodiil, and I enjoy watching how he uses his class abilities. He killed me once when I was on my way to do a Chorrol daily and passed too close to a resource he was soloing.I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!2 -

I 100% respect the skill and dedication gankers and bombers posses. I certainly have neither of those lol. I live vicariously through videos they post. There's a guy on Xbox NA that takes bombing to an art form, and I really enjoy his videos.2 -

Some gankers just "do their job" so to speak, part of the game. But several are just mean and disrespectful, specially in Imperial City.
Ganking has a bad reputation because of those bad apples.5 -
allochthons✭✭✭✭I'm terrible at PvP, and so do it as infrequently as possible. But awhile ago, I got into a scrum in Imp City, and wow, I was so impressed with the player who was slaughtering me and my friends. They knew the ground so well, they trapped me between a board on the ground and a wooden platform. Great situational awareness.
I agree with the design move that we can't communicate with other alliances in PvP, the toxicity would be unbearable, but that day, I really wanted to tell that person how impressed I was. I've since slotted emotes that show respect, and use them when appropriate (and still alive).She/They

Ganking has a bad reputation because I'll be out there, having a good time while fighting outnumbered or doing a 1v1 and then a ganker just decides to jump in and snipe me which ends a fight that was a lot of fun. How does one determine whether a ganker is "just doing their job" or is "just being mean and disrespectful"? That seems like an awfully subjective judgment to me.
Ganking-- that is, the ability to gank-- is built into the game by design. It might be an unpopular and despised playstyle by a lot of players who find themselves getting ganked, but it is what it is.I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!2 -

✭When im fighting someone 1v1 in IC, and I see an allied ganker approaching I just stop fighting and move away. The person I was fighting with usually pms with a thanks or something and then I just made a new friend.

Killing low levels getting shards....and killing opposing faction members right before they kill a world bosses....seriously cruddy moves.3
