Have you actually been banned since the original statement from ZOS making it clear that no bans had taken place, only the temporary locking of accounts? If you're simply referring to your original email from ZOS that did not represent a ban.

Locking and banned are the same thing. By locking my account I am banned from playing until it’s unlocked.

But yes I’m referring to being locked out of my account.

Banned, suspended, locked out. It is just terminology. They all kind of mean the same thing. You can be temporarily banned or suspended. OP is unable to login to the server, the definition of ban is quite literally to be officially or legally prohibited from.

OP: To answer the question your guilds should be fine. You will remain the guild master of your guild you are just offline for a couple days.

Thank you for the info I wasn’t sure what would happen.

Banning and locking aren't the same thing at all. Banning can be permanent which would obviously be critical in terms of guild leadership. Just having accounts locked while issues are investigated is unlikely to have any impact on a guild at all.

His question was obvious, bickering about terminology is adding nothing to an already unpleasant situation. Let's chill.

Nothing will happen as a result of the guild leader being offline for a few days, no matter what the reason is.

As far as I know guild leadership doesn't ever expire, no matter how long you're offline. Guild members can contact Customer Support and ask them to replace an inactive guild leader, but they have to have been inactive for a long time (several months at least) before they'll even consider it and then I think they will try to contact the leader as part of reviewing the request.

I don't know what happens when a guild leader is permanently banned, I've not heard of it happening before, but I suspect even then the guild would have to ask for a replacement, it would just be easier to convince Support because they'd be able to see the leader was banned and therefore won't be coming back.

Other than that it depends on the guild. The worst that will happen is, well, nothing, if you're responsible for running everything and the guild can't function without you then it will be inactive until you're back, but as long as that's just a few days it probably won't be a problem. Alternatively the guild officers and other members will cover for you until you're back.

I know this doesn't help anyone now, but this is why I recommend guilds always have at least 2 people who can do everything, and a way for at least the officers to contact the leader and each other outside the game (it's one benefit of so many guilds having Discord these days). You never know what will happen and at least that way someone can find out why the leader isn't online and someone can keep things running until they're back.

    Can confirm guilds are fine.

I am a guild leader and have joined my own guild on an alt account to be able to communicate with people for the time being. (Only problem is I can't rank myself up to access the bank :D )

The impact on the player is identical regardless of the terminology. The player can not log in or access their account until ZOS lifts the ban or lock. Guilds need their guild leaders to be active on a daily or near daily basis. When their guild leader suddenly doesn't log on for days guild members start to wonder what's going on.
