With every pop cap decrease there has been a very noticeable increase in toxicity and vitriol in Cyrodiil.

It's really sad. Cyrodiil has become a toxic cesspit of insults, teabagging, and other unsportsmanlike conduct with far too many justifying their unsportsmanlike conduct by telling themselves the other faction is behaving badly, so it's justified for me to behave badly too.

This is just such a sad situation. I'm finally to the point where, even as a PvP player since 2015, I'm wondering if it wouldn't be best if ZOS just shut down Cyrodiil all together now. :'(

Nah. It's crap now; but I just get on with friends and hang out and BS for the most part. Just kind of learn to ignore the toxicity. Has always been, if you don't want to go head on with a faction stack; you're a PvDoor scrub. React to defend and you become a zergling. People in your own faction wanted to do X buy you did Y, so you all awful and should Uninstall. You run around LOS when outnumbered, and you're a sweaty try hard.

People have always been like that; they just are in a smaller pond. Sill not worth a 2nd thought

There is no coordinated effort to gate any faction this campaign. There is just rampant cheating going on now because ZOS is failing to address anything that we are complaining about in their video game that they created. It's astonishing that they are allowing the game to die. Active player counts are dwindling, and I'm running out of people to play with because people just stop logging on when no one is addressing cheaters or the toxic population caps. @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom does tagging either of you even do anything?

This has happened many times at Faregyl, with AD defending against EP and DC both attacking the same keep. And those fights are always the most epic. Successfully defending a keep against overwhelming numbers is, in my opinion, way more fun and satisfying than zerging the entire map in 12v1 fights. [/quote]

This is not fun for AD. This is stupid. The same EP ball group, around noon, always goes to Faregyl and runs around while AD tries to get them out, meanwhile DC pushes AD all the way back to their home keeps, and usually opens up a temple keep and takes their scrolls because AD has no groups running to counter. Most annoying thing and they do it literally everyday.

Not sure what's "pathetic" about double teaming the 1st place faction to prevent them from snowballing a massive lead and killing the entire campaign for everyone. That's just how you play multifaction PvP games.

And it's still happening even when EP doesn't "nightcap" and the player you're talking about hasn't logged on for days. DC was pop locked at 10am on a Wednesday and ya'll are still justifying toxic game play. :(

This is the map you're complaining about. This is not the same as "all one color with all 6 scrolls." This is simply good threat assessment, aside from the typical overextension down the Nikel corridor. Server pops have been either 2/3/3 or 3/2/3 which isn't perfect but it's a far cry from the night time 1/3/1 empty map zerging.

You're justifying double teaming the last place faction....again. And you just did it again today....again. Some players haven't fought an AD player in a month even though they've been online 12-14 hours a day for the last month.

I thought fir a second last night; about taking a screenshot of EP hitting Glade while Rayles was yellow when I got on. Then I realized; it happens all the time to all factions and nobody really cares unless it's their faction. And it's generally any side looking for soft targets since otherwise, they just pull a faction stack that will cover the entire ground with siege while outnumbering you

You misunderstand. I play DC, and I'm talking about the unsportsmanlike conduct of DC players. I could post shots of zone chat to prove my point, but don't want to take the time. There are a few of us who have brought up the issue a few times over the last few weeks, but some just aren't getting the point. The point, specifically, is they're taking the fun out of the game for those of us that want to play for fun and not just bitterly focus one faction all the time. We want to play the score and the map and have fun. This much negativity coming from some of the players is disheartening and disappointing. It's obvious the "offenders" aren't having fun either. They're just taking out their bad life syndrome on others.

I've been having a ton of fun personally, both on the field and in PvChat. I'd be careful with those last two sentences, it's starting to sound a bit like passive aggression or projection, neither of which belong on this forum.

As for strats, it's simply proper multifaction PvP to attack on the front of the greater threat, while defending on the front of the lesser threat. This is not "unsportsmanlike" nor bitter focus, you are still "fighting both enemies."

Of course every day we get the old "let's attack into both enemy territories" followed by "why are they both attacking us" with far too few players connecting the dots.

It was somewhat frustrating for me yesterday calling to hit AD tri keeps and scrolls, only to watch my faction get stuck on Brindle and Carmala (being farmed by a ball group no less) while EP took both AD scrolls themselves.

I don't get too caught up in zone chat. Generally toxic and that's probably everywhere. Every once in a while, I have to watch it for what the faction is going to do. And it's probably going to be dumb, and somebody is going to say how dumb it is, but nobody really is going to control either. But you can chose to be frustrated, or just let it go and do what you thinks best for your time at that moment

Was a ton of fun for me! I enjoy surviving the double team provided my faction is willing to coordinate and play smart, which in this context mostly refers to holding Glade/Faregyl/Arrius over all other objectives until the enemies give up.

I agree. Not saying it wasn't fun, just dumb ballgroups. When one gets pulled away from their group, they choose to die running back to the safety of their group rather than fight. It's just dumb to me. At least die fighting.

Same player is at it again, this morning on his DC alt handing Volendrung to his EP main faction. Here's a redacted conversation with a DC friend over the incident, showing the frustration in DC zone chat, with longtime players considering leaving the game due to justifiably perceived AvA cheating.

IMO, things like this should fall into the category of griefing and harassment.

I would understand if ZOS wouldn't want to investigate every single incident, but they should definitely action the main accounts of repeat offenders.

Really, in a faction-locked campaign, there should be a hard rule against playing on multiple factions with different accounts. It's an obvious circumvention of the faction lock.

They're enabling troubled people to negatively impact the enjoyment of everyone else. And there's no lack of troubled people in the world today.

The player you're referring to isn't the only player in Cyrodiil that spends their time trolling and griefing other factions, regardless of what faction they happen to be playing at the moment or the methods they choose to use in their implementation of their trolling and griefing.

What-about arguments don't change the fact that this player is brazenly using multiple accounts to manipulate AvA.
