pChat going wild and messing up stock chat in the process || pChat not the issue ||

It was not pChat causing the issue, and I am not sure how to delete the post.
Been using it for a few horus. Was very happy.
Then suddenly it started defaulting me to zone even if I was in a conversation with my guild.
I can't for the life of me get it to stop, and turning the addon off made it so that my regular chat now ALSO does this annoying thing.

Please help ASAP!! :O :O :O I use the chat A LOT and I can't be bothered to go /g1-2-3-4 every time. :O

    This is no pChat error or causing this, especially not if it happens with the addon disabled? If addons are disabled they cannot change anything anymore.
    Please do not spread such wrong information about pchat without having any evidence...
    Maybe you downloaded and installed any old pChat version using any old libraries? Please check all your addons and libraries are up to date (install newest version and if you use Minion addon manager make sure it finds the correct version and not any "language or whatever patch" for the addons!).

    If that does not fix it:
    I'd start with disable ALL your addons and check if the problem is gone then. There is a simple "kills witch" at the top of your addons list, where you can disable/enable all addons (top left).

    If the error is gone enable the addons again and check whicha ddons you got enabled that got to do with chat. Keep pChat disabled and see what addon is cuasing this, then disable it or check the ESC>settings>AddOns menu for chat settings.

    As thoussands of users do, that's why the post above is so distracting.
    I bet it's any other addon/library causing it, or whatever happened there. Can't be the issue of pChat if it happens even with pChat disabled (which should be very obvious, right?).

    i think there is some setting in pchat which can automatically switch your chat channel, in cases such as joining a group or whatnot

    would have to check specific settings, but i do remember seeing something like that in the pchat settings

    Yes, there are but they do not always swithc back to zone chat or any other chat channel.
    For group join it switches once to the party chat (if enabled).
    And if you press the up key on your keayboard pChat can use the last used chat text AND channel if you enable that (to send the complete last message again).

    But beside that I do not know what shouldbe causing this mentioned issue
    and AGAIN:
    It cannot be pChat if you disable the addon -> That's what the initial posts says ;)
    So whatver we answer here is just for info, and got nothing to do with the mentioned problem.

    Thank you for your reply. I have never used this one before, so I will check one by one and see which one causes the issues. It can't be pChat then, thanks for clearing that up as well. :)
