Never seen so many ESO Players

It's Crazy! I finally got all 3 Staves. The

Staff of Worms, UI'vor and Suuna'Rah plus TrueFlame Sword. I might go for AX and head back to Vv...

But I have never seen so many ESO Players everywhere. We have tons of Dolmens they are all Packed. Geysers Packed. Vv WB's packed. Plus, many other places.

This game is Far from Dead even if it quiets down after the event from Burnout.

Good Job ZOS bringing everyone together! My only Complaint I wish you could sell the Style Pages.

My RNG was not good but I still got them and that is part of the game!

Cheers!

It's definitely not because drop rate is so bad that people have to spend hours there. I'm sure they just enjoy dolmens and WBs /s

This is a great example of how the way this event was set up looks great "on paper"; but ask those players questions like whether they're enjoying repeating the same dolmen / geyser / wb 100 or more times; whether they're looking forward to the next event; and whether they're planning to play more or less going forward; and I think you might see a very different picture.

(EDIT: I am making an effort not to be entirely negative in these posts, so I did also want to say congrats to the OP for getting several of the style pages).

don’t mistake event fomo for active players regularly enjoying the game.

Well since i am a Dungeon Gold Style Page Hunter this was just the Norm for me. I am used to running the same Dungeon over and over to Farm Style Pages. They are expected to be hard to get and my guess is ZOS offered 5 of them so you could mix it up. Some people are Obsessed with getting everyone one so Yeah it can take Quite some time, but they did offer what 20+ Days of XP and plenty of time and tickets to allow others to do other things as well. If this would have been a 7-day event I could understand everyone being Upset. The game has always had RNG sometimes it works in your favor other times it does not.. The Forum though usually projects when the RNG is bad not good.

I would anticipate more players coming back to the game than leaving and the Majority who say they are leaving will probably be back sooner than later and are just venting but what do i know.

    Cheers!

I actually do. They give boxes and the dolmen are great xp while I'm grinding out cp and leveling abilities.

Heck, I'm even doing the dailies achievements in summerset, including the wb one. My partner in crime is still trying to get the geyser staff. I have all five but still do the events because *gasp* they're fun.

Just wish the geyser xp didn't suck so bad.

Game is usually popping during events than back to being dead

Hey that's fine, I don't know any more than you do. It just might be an interesting exercise to ask some of the players at these events what their thoughts are... I've done that a few times and the answers were not encouraging. But of course that's just anecdotal, and players who are not having a good time may be more likely to speak up than others, etc.

but they did offer what 20+ Days

I'm seeing this number go up the more it's repeated.

From one timestamp on April 4th to the same timestamp on April 23rd is 19 days' worth of time. The fact that it crosses 20 dates and resets doesn't mean we have 20+ days' worth of time to benefit from double XP or get the new style pages. It's not like how we have 20 chances to get tickets.

Extra XP (and now tickets) is also an essential feature of the Anniversary every year. I don't think that should be construed as a consolation prize for people who aren't able to get the newest pages being offered this year. The precedent for participation events like this one is that you can complete the new pages one way or another (some combination of earning through drops, paying with tickets, buying from other players), especially if you put in a bit of time to get your tickets and your gold box. The Murkmire event became infamous for breaking that pattern, and in response we got an acknowledgment that the frustration many players felt during that event would be taken into consideration going forward. Now again we have a similar situation, where rewards for what should be a participation event aren't going to be attainable for everyone, with no information on when or how they might be available again. The RNG for these pages is frustrating enough; the fact that we already went through something similar, were told that we were heard, and yet have gotten a similarly frustrating set of drops makes it worse.

Monster mask styles are different. They aren't participation rewards. They reward being able to run dungeons quickly on vet, and they also reward having completed the relevant hard mode. Many players do not do vet content at all, especially the dungeons, which are locked behind ESO+ or crown purchases. Only a very small portion of players do vet DLC dungeons and have done vet DLC dungeon HMs, according to the console achievements (which provide the only numbers we have). I'm not defending the drop rate for monster style pages - I'm saying that they're another subject entirely, as the nature of what they reward and the audience at whom they're aimed are fundamentally different from Anniversary pages. Comparing drop rates there is not apples to apples, imo.

These Anniversary style pages do not require effort or skill. There is no way to improve the drop rate for these pages, as far as we know. (The fishing bonuses all speak specifically to fish, and no one from ZOS has said whether they work on the Trueflame page. We have only anecdotal evidence and too little of it to indicate either way.) They're essentially participation prizes, just locked behind egregious RNG. A reasonable amount of RNG might make it fun and exciting to get a drop. This amount without a failsafe is beyond overboard, imo.

    .

I am not saying it is wrong or right. All i am saying is for me personally and the 2% and 5% drop rates including the RNG for running Vet Dungeons for Style Page Masks is the same. Sometimes you get very Lucky and sometimes you do not! Running Coral Aerie endless amounts of times to not get a Style Page Mask was rough. Getting 1 on Graven Deep was great. It is part of the game. My only complaint is not being able to sell this events Style Pages so those who do not get one could buy one.

Lastly the Jubilee boxes are a massive reward. Getting 3 at a crack on many Dolmens was insanely huge. I must have collected 20 Perfect Roe and 100+ Columbine in Boxes just from running 100 Dolmens before my mask dropped. an an endless amount of Motif's. So thankfully there is some seriously good rewards in those boxes. Running a dungeon 100 times you're getting zilch besides some decon materials.
