EXP Buffs.....

I'm trying to make sense of the EXP buffs in the game.

Prior to drinking a 150% ambrosia, and prior to doing the For Cake's Sake quest and eating the cake, I received 6k experience for doing a dolmen (I was level 37 at the time.)

After doing the quest, eating the cake, and drinking 150% ambrosia potion, I should have 250% experience, right? 250% experience of 6k. Thats 15k experience, and I only got 11K at the end of the event. I get 11k CONSISTENTLY with 150% ambrosia, so it isn't a participation issue skewing the numbers.... its always 10.5+ and up somewhere in the 11k range.

None of these actually add up to the exp bonus.

Why don't they give us a visible buff for the event xp bonus??

Xp boost is passive now. If you did that first dolmen after the event started you were already getting an xp buff. Eating the cake is only for the daily tickets

They are working on a visible buff for passive xp but it isnt ready yet

The +100% from the event was active before you could do the event quest. So if you did the 6k exp dolmen after the start of the event it included the +100% and the 10% of eso+ too

3k+260% is 10.8k wich the game may round up to 11k

It's harder to compare xp gains for some activities than others. I usually just compare quest xp from the following: daily writs, master writs, and IC dailies (essentially the same as master writs most of the time). Those give me just under 18k with only the eso plus bonus, and just under 60k with event bonus and a 150% scroll. This all more or less adds up correctly as far as I can tell.
Dolmens have some variability in the xp award that I've seen but can't fully account for. I would also recommend testing with a level 50 character as most sources of xp scale with level.
