You can always delete characters and start again. That is free.

You didn't need the collectors edition, it was a pre-order bonus which was included in the standard version as well. The collectors edition bonuses were the Imperial race, white horse, mud crab pet and whatever else is now in the Imperial Edition Upgrade in the crown store.

Also pre-order copies were still available a year after the game came out (I bought one, for far less than retail price at the time) and the codes were available online for years after that. I think ZOS finally disabled any which hadn't been used when they added it to the crown store.

No one at any point in this thread asked for Any Race, Any Alliance to be free or 'acted insulted' that it wasn't.

The closest anyone came is the OP saying they're not surprised it's in the crown store, which if anything could be taken as saying they expected to have to pay for it.

Your account will be upgraded with a Collectible (Any Race, Any Alliance) and you get 3 Name Change Token with 3 Race Change Token which you will see on your Character Screen. There is also some XP scrolls and Treasure Maps.

Right now price are reduced with 500 Crows to 1500 Crows (just 1 or 2 days left), so don't wait until it will be too late to get this on your account if you want to be able to create any race that start in any Alliance.

So preorder bonus than. Same thing really, people keep asking for free things than act insulted they not everything is actually free. It gets annoying.

It wasn't just a Pre-order thing at that time! I have had Alliance and Race freedom since my account where created after beta 2014 went into Live version (Public or RTM), so as a reward for participating during Beta you got Any Alliacen, Any Race as part as of your base account (non Imperial as that was a Deluxe version at that time where got access to one more race [Imperial] and related crafting ability for creating armour and weapon in Imperial style including one Imperial mount).

Game have changed over those years and how those version turned from being a Deluxe version into what we today see as an DLC where something else as that happened later.

Imperial City you had to purchase, if you wanted to play PvP, but is today part of free CS item.

Anyway Any Alliance, Any Race does matter more for players that want to be able to be free to pick which Alliance to play in PvP and only matters if you want to pick a race during character creation outside of its default Alliance (for Khaijiit it means in Aldermeri Dominion maps where you also have their base story starting - if you would create a Khaijiit in EP or DC maps, then you will be an outsider that lives in those maps and just follow what is happening as part of main story line).

Today it doesn't really have any impact if you are going to do MQ as game where designed to make see each Alliance PoV by finishing their MQ as Silver and Gold it is just the rotation will be different for which Alliance zone that are next.

OP wish to create Khaijiit independent of Alliance and is perfectly reasonable as part of a 10 year Anniversary one could have wished that Zeni had made it possible for a short time to get this feature added onto account that log in like IC (DLC in CS that is automatically added onto account) is now, not a permanent offer, but as a 10 year Jubilee part.

I will also strongly suggest that people here stop suggesting to delete characters without knowing if OP have even invested time and Gold on upgrades on that character as you have to upgrade Mount (time dependent), PC Inventory and Bank slots, not to forget also Researching at craftstation (time dependent - take more and more time the more research you have done).

Not to forget items that might be bound to character.

At lest provide a warning that deleting characters will also mean you will have to start all over in your character progression. Better suggestion will be to purchase a character slot and start from there or use existing characters slots instead of starting to delete characters.

It's one of each, not three.

The thing you get three of is experience scrolls.

Since a race + name change would cost you 3.5k crowns usually though, might still be worth it, depending on your needs.
