ZOS had better stop super rare drop mech for avoiding to destroy immersion.

Simply stupid game contents. You should not make those game contents anymore.
I hate to see much of people keep surrounding around the world boss or "geyser".
And kill it instantly over and over. Especially in "event time". :s

You must plan more constructive and healthy game idea instead of those immersion destroyer.

    I agree on this.

Whole systems being unuseable for normal gameplay for several weeks (as it's the case for Geysirs at present), because zos decided to create artifical bottlenecks by putting FOMO-able shinies there is an intolerable situation.

It's bad for the hardware, it's bad for the players (event participants as well as people interested in affected content itself) and it's also bad for the content (which isn't made for this enormous amount of players).

Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. It's not that hard.

Disagree. I think it's fun. It revitalizes old zones and old content. Normally if you want to do a geyser, you might be the only player there. They are very rarely farmed anymore because they normally don't drop anything decent worth farming. IMO it's fun to go to old events like geysers and see a massive number of players just melting the enemies.

"Immersion destroyer"? I don't even know what that's supposed to mean. If you want to be fully "immersed" and not have to play with other players, then an MMO is not for you. Those of us who enjoy the Multiplayer aspect of an MMO, love events like this that bring the playerbase together instead of spreading them out all over as is the norm.

That's a fair point, but when the pendulum swings so far the other way when only 12 can loot, that's also frustrating.
And these stories of spending 10+ hours farming for birthday gifts (during a limited time event) and not getting them aren't great, either.

I think a lot of this comes down to execution. A few tweaks could have made a big difference.

I also don't understand why this event is 20 days long (especially with Jester's bumping right into it). 2x10 day events for the 10th anniversary (with the other in the fall) would have been preferable imo.

I feel like there's gonna be some seriously burned out players come 4/23 that we likely won't see again until Gold Road lol

find something else to be immersed in during the event then if an mmo being played as an mmo should be ruins your immersion then you did not get immersed to begin with and i'm sorry to say it seems like mmos are not single player games.

big events are what's fun about mmos and the game is handling it fine- if your computer cant handle it then you need a hardware upgrade because the game shows no sign of strain for me

I Agree with you and not the OP. I do wish they stop with the BOUND Style Pages though. If i am going to farm something for literally days on my time i should have the choice to consume the style page or sell it on my Vendor.

Do you also think it's fun to run over 100 geysers and still not get anything decent? Because that's what many people are reporting. The problem isn't giving people a reason to revisit old zones. On the contrary, that can be quite enjoyable when done right. The problem is a drop rate so low it's reasonable to assume many people won't be able to collect the 5 pages by the end of the event if they don't grind for long hours. It's also a problem when loot is limited to the top 12 DPS, which means many aren't getting event boxes while grinding.

    Just imagine this.

You're in 4men style Vet dungeon. Your team finally got last boss room, then you meet tons of
other player who keep standing around the last boss.

"Hey! it's a event time now. We can kill this boss with other 30 players. So easy."

Well, I don't need such a nonsense secret buff (LoL). But, ZOS did such a nonsense game design actually.

There must be better healthy game design idea, or just scatter farming zone all over the Tamriel. (including fishing)
ZOS just did effortless bad world event.

Not really. If you don't do enough damage to the final boss even on the dolmens you don't get the box. You get access to the chest but that's not where the boxes drop from.

Sure, its a DPS check to get that drop but its still true dark anchors scale to my knowledge. Like, the more players, the more enemies it takes to open a pinion.

Responses like this aren't helpful. Perhaps it's OK for people to give viable feedback? If you love it as-is and find it perfect for you, that's great!

I love that they buffed up for 10th and there are some cool ideas in here. But there are some better ways this could have been implemented.

For me personally, I don't need any of this stuff. I'm happy to open up gift boxes from doing daily writs. But I can see the level of frustration in the game, in my guilds and here on the forums. A few simple tweaks could have blunted a lot of this justifiable (imo) criticism.

    Pain Points:
    - Grinding overcrowded bosses where only 12 people get the loot.
    - Multiple ultra-rare *limited time* drops
    - This is a birthday party, a huge milestone, the level of grind is a bit much.
    - 27 straight days of big grindy events is a lot (Jesters + Jubilee). Seems like they could have split this into 2x10 day events and milked it all over again in the fall/early winter.

I'm OK with ultra-rare drops, even bound ones, but doing it within a limited time Birthday Party seems counter-intuitive. Something as simple as keeping those ultra-rare drops in the loot tables for all of 2024 could be viable.

I agree with this, but I wish it was implemented better. The whole only 12 people can get the anniversary box thing sucks. Sure it's the chest that drops the big shiny, but missing out on the boxes feels bad. Also, they should have increased the upper limit of the incursions' scaling to ensure the boss encounter isn't a blink or you'll miss it activity.

I'm sure a lot of us wouldn't be p(l)aying if zos would honestly tell us, that significant parts of the game are unusable for several weeks if an event is active.

Would've been easy to open up additional instances of affected zones for example.

However, as they don't care keeping eso playable at all, I already realized your suggestion partially and stopped financial support. May the sacred FOMOists pay the bills, I won't anymore.

I'm not sure that encouraging players who feel that grinding a limited number of choke points 100 times with no reward with, the suggestion that they move on to another game, is the card that ZOS wants people to suggest to other players.

FOMO is always good for a short term squeeze, but I think nobody ever thought "I'd surely still be playing this game if they had more time limited content in it". It doesn't make the game better. And making the game better is what brings long-term revenue. Some MMOs have lasted for a remarkably long time now. Player numbers ebb and flow but people keep coming back for the good stuff. Just invest in making good stuff, not in creating FOMO.
