Research option not open while having the right item in your bag.

Greetings everyone,

Did any of you run into this problem? I have an item i want to research but if i am at a crafting station it will not show up for research. I tried relogging and turning off all crafting addons. Neither helped.

I am curious if other people have run into this if you have please post as well, so they can find out where it is going wrong.

Haven't run into that, are you sure you were looking at the right stats? Maybe you were researching something at the moment already, or the item was equipped?

First the dumb solutions.

Are you sure you are at the right crafting station? Are you making sure to select armor/wpn tab? Are you sure you haven't already researched the trait in question? Do you have an available researcher?

Last to make sure we are on the same page for how this works. You have, for instance, a dagger with infused in you inventory.

You are at the anvil, click on research, select dagger and infused shows as grey and does not have researchable next to it? If it shows researchable and you still can't, at the top what does it indicate for researchers, 1/1, 2/2, 3/3 or 0/1, 1/2 or some combination?

Make sure if it's medium armor your are scrolling sideways all the way to the end. That's all I can suggest.

It is cloth armor and yes i was standing at the right station and the armor i wanted to reseach was grey

. oh research availible 0/2. Gah and now i feel stupid i was looking wrong, so i did reseach that already, now i need to find a rope with training *sniffle*, thanks all for trying to help.

my guess: you were researching that item type (jack/helm/boots whatever)

cannot research 2 traits of the same item at the same time. (i.e. jack of training and jack with divines)

nm just saw research was 0/2. so obviously not the case.
