Problem with the Anniversary boxes?

I just did my first daily for the day. It was one of the Imperial City dailies. Upon handing in the quest I was shown the gold box as reward (as expected). However, when looking in my inventory there was only one of the normal purple boxes (certainly not expected). Have any of you experienced similiar issues?
