No more returns on deconstructing transmuted items?

Has deconstructing transmuted nirncrux gear to get nirncrux been disabled? I transmuted some gear to nirncrux then deconstructed them but didn't get any nirncrux. I usually get at least 50/50 chance to get one.

I can confirm that it still works. I just crafted 2 white L1 daggers, transmuted them to Nirnhoned, and deconstructed, which gave me 2 Potent Nirncrux.

My only thought, besides the obvious-- a rotten run of bad RNG-- is to transmute something you crafted for best results, rather than just some trash gear that's less likely to return any mats when deconned, and don't transmute gear you reconstructed.

Does colour affect the chance? i.e. if you transmute a purple staff of willpower, are you more likely to get the crux?

No idea. I just know that when deconstructing gear, the "trash" gear that used to be worth 0 gold but which was changed to be worth 1 gold will only rarely return any mats at all, whereas deconstructing gear you crafted tends to return more mats than deconstructing dropped gear. I don't actually know if that affects how likely you are to get a trait mat back, but it's so easy to craft a piece of white L1 gear so that's what I always do.

i think ive seen reports that level of the item does influence it, but hardly at all

your best shot will be to have the full passives and meticulous disassembly CP, after that its usually a 50-60% chance on a white lvl 1 item to get the nirn back

there is still RNG too, ive had times ive transmuted 4 items and only gotten 1 nirn, and other times ive done 4 items and gotten 4 nirn

Were the transmuted items crafted, dropped, or reconstructed? Reconstructed items will never give back trait items.

Yes, worried that the OP might be trying to reconstruct items with nirnhoned trait. That's not the method...

Ok thanks, I guess it was just the worst RNG I've ever had doing this.

I always craft white level 1 iron weapons to transmute.

I got 6 nirncrux on 10 deconstructions just last night, to prepare for today's jubilee.

I doubt it. The first time I ever did it, I made 3 white pieces, transmuted them, and got 3 nirn back. And last night, I did white pieces, and got 6 of 10 back

It's generally much better RNG than 50/50, but I had some very bad experiences too.
