Yeah. They got options.

I only queue for dungeons with premade groups, because I don't have time (or patience) do deal with the possibility of ending up with 15k group dmg and 3 people that have never heard of blocking.

i only queue for random veteran dungeons when i heal with my main character.

edited to add:
maybe normal dungeons when they're new,
but queueing for veteran dungeons is less likely to give me a fake tank.

doing dungeons with friends is preferred over random people though

Unfortunately, 80%PUG healer is this quality, including 12men trial.

Good pug end game players are fairly rare in general, and even more so as support roles. If I queue as a healer, much of the time it is a hybrid where I can at least do 20% of the dps while providing buffs to the group. I run sergeant's, spell power cure, symphony helm with oakensoul. If the tank needs more support I will add barrier and such. If I am doing 50-70% of the group dps I may just bow out and leave the group and do something else I enjoy more. It is a game after all and I play it to have fun, but it really depends on what the pug was for, normal or vet and how much not fun will be required.

There are often times players that aren't even suited for the content they have queued for, IE PVP build doing 10k dps etc in harder vet dlc dungeons. Sometimes I will log to just see how this is even possible, if I don't think it is a something that can be remedied I will just take my leave and do something else. Random queue really gonna be random sometimes, ZoS cannot make sure everyone can do the content, though they have taken steps to at least help raise the floor some. There is still aways to go on getting more accessibility to tanks though.

PUGs are a mixed bag for every role. I’m a healer main and often do random vet dungeons. Sometimes the DPS stand in aoe while light attacking the boss with their bow and I’m just like “Whyyyyy?” Okay, burst heal check, swap in beam on my otherwise full healer build and pull 25% of the group DPS.

But then there are awesome groups and sometimes in the sub-awesome groups there is someone who is new but genuinely trying and I’m always happy to help those players.

For random groups, the only expectation I have for healers is if they keep the group alive and not stealing aggro.

Agree. I gave up even thinking of relying on them and had to slot a heal and shield and suffer the DPS loss on most DLC dungeons. Very happy the sorc shield now has a heal so I don't have to lose DPS or rely on their uselessness (not all healers of course). Also everyone is queuing as a fake healer today to avoid the wait times and think that 3 dds are better, I prefer the old way with da healz personally

Tank main player always care situation control. So I know lethal damage of dungeon.
Thus, I can do emergency healing very effective with good timing. Not only building matter,
but also field surveillance is more important than just healer building.

If you ask the game to randomly match you with random players with no prior communication or any real matching criteria, of course the results will be pretty random.

Though imo likely more skewed toward players who won't meet your standards, because many of the ones who would aren't using the random finder to find groups.
