Does Armor Reist Crits?

So, my question is if someone has 33000 armor, i.e; 50% damage resist and they have the base game 20% crit resist how does damage affect them?

If did 10000 damage and then crit for 5000

I know the 10k damage would be reduced by 50% and that the crit portion would be reduced by 20% but does the armor reduce the crit damage as well?

So, would the armor reduce the 5K crit damage by 50%?

Thx in advance

    15000 crit dmg => (1.5 - 0.2) * 10000 => 13000 => -50% mitigation => 6500

    To clarify a little what moo said: Crit resists are subtracted directly from the crit bonus multiplier of the attacker. That is to say, you aren't reducing the crit damage by 20% you are reducing the crit multiplier by 20 percentage points! So if they have the base multiplier of 50% you would reduce it to 30% in this example.

    This is why crit resists traditionally have been considered so powerful for pvp. They can potentially reduce damage by a massive amount but only when critcal hits occur.

    does the armor reduce the crit damage as well?

    Yes.

    Here's the calculation with 1320 crit resist and 33000 armor.

    10000 * (1.5 - ((1320/660)/10)) * (1-(33000/660)/100) = 6500
