Who We Are

We are the heretics, saboteurs, assassins and pirates, charlatans seeking forbidden knowledge and warmongers undermining the peace.

We are the saints, saviors, inventors and sages, scholars hoping to catalog wisdom and arbiters who bring hope.

There are no flyers, no promises of fame and glory. We do not hawk our wares in the streets or spread our names among the people. Our wealth is not measured in mountains of gold nor our power by the size of our ranks. Whether we are friend or foe has little to do with you.

Whispers of mighty hordes and jests of unorganized brigands leap from lips and spread through minds, and the stories of what we are change from each wagging tongue. Which truth you choose to believe is of little consequence; all of them suit us just fine. All you really need to know is that whatever it is you seek, we can supply.

What is your heart's desire? Love? Revenge? Knowledge? Perhaps the foreign flesh of a slave girl from the Summerset Isle, or secrets wrenched from the mechanical tombs of the Dwemer? Whatever your need, know that it can be obtained – for a price.

What We Do

From the frost bitten mountains of the North to the wild groves of the Valenwood to the South, every creature of every nation has one thing in common: desire. It propels us to achieve heroic deeds and steep to the most nefarious acts. Whether as mundane as food and comfort, as extravagant as arcane knowledge and forbidden texts, or lofty as power and influence, there is no purpose without desire.

When the laws of the land stifle your dreams and the shackles of ethics bind your hands, we obtain that which you crave and offer what it is you seek. Whether prying it from an obscure crevice deep within the heart of a Dwemer ruin or pilfering it from the corpse of a rival guild member in her own halls, our operatives know no equal in their ability to find what you need.

Recruitment

Who you are doesn't matter to us; it's what you can do that will draw our attention. Should your talents prove exceptional, then rest assured you will be approached. Our operatives are hand picked for their individual capabilities, intuition, and discretion. Don't bother seeking us out – if you have something we want, we'll find you.

OOC General Information

Ceyaranais (Kings of Shadow in Ayleidoon) is a heavy roleplay centric guild who's focus is to cultivate a 'black market' sort of atmosphere both for themselves and other outside guilds and individuals to participate in. While roleplay remains the focus throughout any theme, we intend to explore every facet of the game from crafting to keep sieges and everything in between.

While a basic fundamental structure will be in place, the guild itself will grow just like any organic operation - that is, the individual characters and their stories will help shape just how we function. The leadership will involve a 'head' as well as a small governing body, with smaller operations headed by various individuals. The exact nature of how this will play out is largely up to the members and to some extent, outside influences.

This guild is for the experienced roleplayer who enjoys creating and participating in rich, diverse stories and delving into dynamic character development and plots while exploring and enjoying every facet of the game. As such, a higher level of literacy and maturity is necessary for anyone seeking to join, as this guild dabbles in things such as unromanticized slavery and other unsavory things that typically spring up from the black market culture. While you don't have to be a savant, any hopeful applicants will need a basic fundamental grasp on the Elder Scrolls lore. The wiki is incredibly helpful and readily available, and there are a plethora of lexicons available on this site alone.

Applying

In that spirit, recruitment is a little different, and much more stringent – this guild values quality over quantity. The 'application' process involves writing a story about your character that you think would catch our attention. The canvas is blank – there is no other criteria. What has your character done that would cause us to seek them out? What abilities or talents did they display that would catch our attention? In order to maintain the level of quality we're looking for, not every applicant will get in. However, that doesn't mean you can't try again in the future, nor does it mean we can't still roleplay together!
