Not Everyone Gets the Conceding time out?
I was in a match to where I was winning and the opponent conceded... I hopped right back into queue and was put up against this same person that conceded. How? Every single time I have conceded I get the 10 minute time out but this person did not? Is it possible to cheat? Are they an undercover higher up? This is some shady business.
And this isn't the first suspect thing to happen during a ToT match.

NoSoup✭✭✭✭✭There's 2 things.
A. Concedeing only gives you a time penalty if you do it within x minutes of the game starting, so on long slow drawn out games you can concede without receiving a penalty.
B. Conceding time penalty only applies to that character and not your account, so if you have a 10 minute penalty you can log onto a different character and queue immediately.
Edit. Another thing I will add. I believe the penalty is actually as a result of not playing long enough, full stop. If you get an afk player and the game ends quickly they get the same time penalty. So it's probably worth more to look at it as a penalty for not taking a game seriously at the beginning more so than a "conceding" penalty as there's more ways of getting the penalty than simply conceding.Edited by NoSoup on March 22, 2024 2:09AMFormally SirDopey, lost forum account during the great reset.....0 -

✭✭✭✭✭how the penalty timer works is that it starts the time as soon as you load into the event (dungeon, tribute, BG, etc) (you can verify this by opening up the queue menu and it will show a 15 min timer already started)
if you leave the event before the event is completed normally, and before the timer expires, you will have to wait out the timer
if you take at least 15 min and then leave, you wont have a penalty timer (pretty hard to do for BGs since those only have a 15 min timer to begin with), but it works for dungeons or tribute if you get stuck in a long instance and decide to give up if you havent made significant progress or your tribute game is stalemating
if you complete the activity normally then the timer is cleared if you happen to take less than 15 minutes (such as queue into FG1 that can be completed in 5-10 min)plays PC/NA
