When opening chests, cursor sticks to crosshair in middle of screen

When I open treasure chests in-game, and sometimes randomly(?), but near 100% reproducable with opening treasure chests, the mouse appears and sticks to the middle of the crosshair unless i open another menu that has the mouse and close out of it or change windows and change back. This only started happening recently after i got my 2560x1440 monitor. I tried disabling addons but it still happens. Could something in my usersettings.txt be causing this since I imported it from a previous time I installed the game, which wasn't that long ago? (i really don't want to have to redo all my settings though...)

    I tried with a fresh usersettings.txt, repaired game, nothing fixes it. It is exactly similar to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zPZfYlMe96E but happens when i try to open a chest and it begins right when the lockpick animation occurs.

    I did before; I think the issue may have been released to Windows dev build 26080 since people on Hearthstone forums were having similar mouse issues and now it's fixed in 28085.1, i'll have to test ESO later to see.

    But I believe the issue is resolved. It was due to the previous pro insider build 26080, they noted that many games were having issues and they should be fixed now, it seems to be the case, not experiencing the strange behavior anymore. on 26085.1 dev.

    I had only noticed it on ESO at the time but there were mouse issues across many other games like Hearthstone too and with the update it's been resolved to my knowledge; so my bad it wasn't due to the game.
