Did I miss a warning or posting in the store?

Howdy,
I "bought" the Legendary Dragon Armor Pack then I discovered that I then had to
1. Interrupt my quest play to travel to an Outfit Station so that I could
2. Happy Happy Joy Joy spend a lot of gold to equip those items that I had already bought in the first place.

I did not see any warning about having to spend money to use/equip these items after I had bought them. Are there any in the store, or is this simply Tribal Knowledge that is supposed to be passed along as one plays? If I had seen a warning about double spending, I would have never bought the stuff in the first place.

So this brings me to a followup question. If I upgrade to a new piece of armor, do I have to go back and pay another Application Fee for it?

Usually motifs cost gold to apply or you can use an outfit change token. There are some that don't, though, like collector's edition motifs from Chapters. You're applying the style to an outfit preset, not the actual armor you're wearing, so no matter what you wear you will be shown as wearing the outfit you create.

you should have gotten an outfit change token with the armor pack, that saves a bit of gold.

and yes applying new outfit styles costs gold, unless it's a style from a chapter's collector's pack like Divine Persecution and Deadlands Gladiator.
