Swallow Soul Bugged? (Help me double check)

Now, I could 100% be crazy. I need to look into it more. But take a look at these two pictures from the same fight. Keep in mind according to my swallow soul tooltip it says I will heal for 38% of the damage done. Unless something was changed, Swallow Soul doesn't double dip with battle spirit unlike the heal from Merciless.
The Max dmg done with Swallow soul was 6.6K dmg... 38% of 6623 is 2516 But it says the max was 1734 healing, so it seems like Swallow did get affected by Battle Spirit or at least isn't working fully???
