I'm NOT sorry to disappoint you, but this Dunmer in all his black outfit looks PERFECT. No, I'm completely serious.I don't understand how anyone can find this beautiful. The bright colors make darker characters in particular, such as Dark Elves, look extremely unattractive. The landscape and the color theme itself is beautiful, no question, after all it's supposed to fit Gold Road. But it's just far too garish.
but I guess I will get used to it ... eventually
Out of curiosity, how long do you folks who are requesting a change to this spend looking at your characters on the character select screen? It’s usually a 2-3 second thing for me before I select my character and play the game.

The dawn, the sun light reflecting on my character and landscape. Stunning.
If you compare these images to some other images in this same thread, these ones looks a lot better.
So the players that posted images that look bad should check and adjust the video settings.

ZOS, for me (and apparently not only for me) this is THE BEST colour palette you have EVER created.
Thank you

How long do those that want to keep the current screen spend looking at it? If it's only a couple of seconds what does it matter if it's tuned down to cause less discomfort for others?

It just seems like a veeeery minor thing to complain about — something you see for a couple of seconds before actually playing the game. Someone spent time and effort working on that login screen. Trashing it and asking for it to be changed, when you only see it for a few seconds seems… I dunno.

I'm one of the people on the forums most likely to but heads with silver, and I couldn't agree more on the point that this character select screen is overdone. I don't look forward to having the game flash-bang me every time I go to the character select screen, and I won't be going through the hassle of changing my video settings before logging in, then changing them back after selecting a character.
So again, like was asked earlier, if people find the screen too bright and oversaturated, headache inducing even, and ask for it to be toned down, but the response is 'it only last for a few seconds' (which doesn't matter when it comes to a sudden flash of light causing people headaches), then how bad would it be for others for this 'only few seconds' to be toned down at least somewhat? As long as this background is mandatory to getting into the game, it should respect those who find it excessive.

This so much; I absolutely love the new background on the character screen, everything about it is so nice! I would love a way to select the background, we can already pick the music that plays; why not the backdrop, too?
It looks SO GOOD, I want to keep it forever
