Well well what should i say? ZOS pretty much blew the mythic Banner of the Sixth House up with this patch. Seems like anyone can get it rn, not sure if its already fixed or not but i doubt that was intended...
There are ppl running around with a good dozen of banners now. Just brilliant. For me as a collector that was literally the worst thing that could happen.
Beside that, before i knew i saw a really good offer in the guild trader, the banner beeing sold for 50M and so i took every piece of gold i had, even lend some good amount from a friend and bought it since its one of the very few last rare drops that im missing in the game as of the latest update. And well. Seems like i just threw 50M out the window... Thank you ZOS

Beside that, before i knew i saw a really good offer in the guild trader, the banner beeing sold for 50M and so i took every piece of gold i had, even lend some good amount from a friend and bought it since its one of the very few last rare drops that im missing in the game as of the latest update. And well. Seems like i just threw 50M out the window... Thank you ZOS Im very sad rn.
The longer you wait the worse it will be and not paying attention to patch notes or news about upcoming changes does not make good business sense. This change wasn't detailed in the patch notes. At least, I hope it was an intended change as some of these items are so rare as to be practically non-existent.

Im sorry about your loss Elder, seeing you hunt for rare furnishing too Thats why you should always check around a bit more before starting to buy, I almost bought the 50 M one too you bought but I was suspicious as there were so many listings already... then I started farming & selling it myself, before market is dead. Its so bad but it doesnt seem like its a bug huh? Thats exactly the point of rare drops existing in the game, items beeing desirable for one to get. I mean ofc the banner was probably way too rare but whats the point in rare items when one can get 3 pieces in less than half an hour like my friend did? (

Yeah, there's multiple pages of them for sale on TTC. If people are running around with "dozens" of them like the OP states, it's possible somebody found a duplication bug, and is selling them cheap to the people who are listing them at a higher price.
It doesn't seem logical that ZOS would make the rarest item in the game trivially common. The item itself has been bugged from the beginning, as the animation is jerky. And that was part of the charm of it.
My money is on this being some sort of bug. Especially since nothing was mentioned about it in the patch notes.2 -

i definitelly agree it shouldve been a bit less rare but literally anyone can get the banner now : (( like i said, my friend dropped 3 PIECES in about 30min... i hate ZOS for doing that, intentionally or not, i dont even know what to anymore in the game now... i definitelly agree it shouldve been a bit less rare but literally anyone can get the banner now : (( like i said, my friend dropped 3 PIECES in about 30min... i hate ZOS for doing that, intentionally or not, i dont even know what to anymore in the game now... What if the destroy all rare items like that now? that was my point in playing the game for the whole last year : ((

i really liked the concept of very rare items the morrowind banner was probably a bit too rare indeed but its basically a joke rn

Ch3mical_92✭✭✭This is a devastating patch for every collector out there. One of my last activities I can do in ESO is collecting rare items since I basically completed everything else in this game. I myself own 3 banners in my collection of rare things and I spent a literal fortune to obtain those banners and now they'll be worthless with the blink of an eye. And more important: what's the point of collecting ANY rare item now? Maybe those will get worthless too with the next patch?
Right now I've got a server-wide hunt for the "Mushroom, Polyp Stinkhorn" going on the PS EU-server, where I offer a fortune of gold for the first drop. But now I've gotta tell my peeps that all their effort they put into farming was wasted cause I will cancel my gold-bounty because collecting those items is way too unsafe now.
This feels like a punch in the guts to be honest. This patch takes the last thing I enjoy in ESO7
