Colors a bit strange now

Have a high-end 4k screen, pc. Especially the loading screens have too saturated colors that reduce details in the picture. Looks very bad. In game it seems like gamma or something is a tiny bit strange but playable.

For me it's the opposite. They look better than ever. Character selection screen looks awesome!

Could you take a picture and share? Just want to give the team an example of what you're noting.

Colors are quite saturated, 1080p on Maximum graphics settings.

Its the Golden Road. And golden autumn btw.

But I agree. It is a tad too much.

It might be nice to be able to select either the current or any previous character selection background screen. Although it's quite beautiful, the autumn colors are kind of a buzz kill with NA moving into spring.

It’s just not Golden Road, some UI popup windows in the game are also too saturated.

I mean I love the color scheme itself, but the colors in some spots are just way too saturated and bright. It's hurting my eyes.

Same. Autumn is my favourite season, but this is too satured and it feels like there's an orange filter
[Lie] Of course! I don't even worship Daedra!

Same. Everything is super orange everywhere. Also 4K

Most ugly login and character screen so far.

This was already criticized on the PTS a few weeks ago. And ignored by ZOS as usual.

The Character select screen is horrible even on my old HD monitor!

My character, mount and pet look like they have jaundice!!

My Ice Wolf is YELLOW!! :o

I think it's pretty, but the characters could use some more lighting in front of their face for a more subtle shadow without looking shaded over.

Light and shadow directions on character screen simply don't match. My guess is light direction is the improper one, as it used to be from the front, now its from the back.

Try turning off bloom in graphics settings.

Not turning of bloom, the game looked fine yesterday. Now it’s messed up colorwise. How did they do that? Never seen it after a patch update before.

That's fine, just saying it may be a while until they fix it (if they fix it). Turning off bloom for now may save your eyes some overly bloomy effects.

The game looks fine for me, but the character screen looks garish and misty, like @Sakiri 's screenshot.

Really? What have you done to fix it? At my end it's all yellow. I have no idea how to fix the light. Everything is appearing yellow in the menu on my account.

I feel like there was a lighting change in Vivek city as well as the character select screen. I don't have a before and after, but it seems like they added more lamps in the crafting areas which tend to give off a more yellow light.

Its not the end of the world, but it is jarring because it isn't what I am used to.

Why did they change the colors? Somebody at ESO must have made a mistake here. Nerfing graphics is not good for any game.

On the plus side, the new colors bring back nostalgic memories of Need for Speed Most Wanted and its affectionately titled "*** filter"

Looks like everything in the background is on fire. This is a 1080p 40 inch HDTV screenshot. Not going to be critical or ugly here as I have moved past that. Colors are definitely bright and saturated. If there is a way to tone them down that would be great but if not that is ok as well.

If this graphics nerf is intentional, it must be the first time in gaming history that devs decide to make a game look much worse than it did before an update. This is a downdate.

These two look very different to me, presumably just based on graphics settings. The second image is fine, it's a nice sunset filter that I wouldn't assume is going to be all over the Gold Road zone. The character select screen is a nice style preview for the upcoming zone, not a graphical one.

Edit: In particular, the trees in the first image are way too bright. I think that's the main thing making the second image look better, not overall graphics settings.

These pictures are so small that you can’t really judge how bad it looks on a screen. Unbelievable if ESO does not change this. Are they blind?

Yes, mine doesn't have shadows, grass etc. turned on as I am on a potato PC. I have the textures and another setting as high as they will go as lowering those 2 greatly diminishes the graphics quality of the game.

What nerf? Are you saying "nerf" because you don't like it or am I missing something?

I love it, the colours look very nice, resolution is great, and I'm really enjoying the new background for now.
