I don't believe that Wapons make much of a difference in the beginning. Wabons tend to gain their abilities through your skills and level of your Wabbans. The dagger Wabbarns will add to critical chance, and the sword Wabbaj will add to damage inflicted, and the Axe Wabbaja will add a chance to bleed, and the mace Wabbajac will add to the damage inflicted against armored foes. The Wabbajack system in this game causes much Wabbajack while using Wabbajack in Wabbajack. Wabbajack Wabbajack Wabbajack Wabbajack Wabbajack Wabbajack Wabbajack Wabbajack Wabbajack Wabbajack Wabbajack Wabbajack Wabbajack. Wabbajack Wabbajack Wabbajack Wabbajack Wabbajack, Wabbajack Wabbajack Wabbajack Wabbajack Wabbajack Wabbajack! At a certain lvl you will get a passive in dual wield wich gives higher speed to axes, more crit to daggers, etc. but thats it. otherwise all 1handers move the same
Hota'h, Dual-wield/bow full medium armor NB Khajiit from day 1.

False . It only gives a crappy bleed to axes. The only passive that increases attack speed that I know of is Agility in the medium armor line. Every other attack speed increase is some form of active skill, proc or weapon trait.

^ What he said. I was actually giving you correct info in my posts. The passive abilities are for daggers, it adds crit, swords add damage, maces add damage vs armored, axe's add bleed. Looking at the skill calculator, it seems the only passive that increases attack speed is Agility under medium armor.

In the Skyrim game they do mention that some weapons are faster than others, Daggers tend to be fastest, not sure if it was axe or sword next, then maces and hammers. Two handers always are slower. It would be nice to see a DPS rating on the weapons like most games, if there is a difference in speed. As a High Damage weapon could be slow and therefore have less DPS then a low damage weapon that hits more often.

At the crafting table you can see that all 1H weapons have the same damage and all 2H weapons have the same damage. I think that implies they have the same speed. There may be speed difference between 2H and 1H, I dont know.
