I managed to sort out the issue by porting but others couldn't.
I am alright with it being down a few hours for those that couldn't though.
If the issue was one that affected those that are complaining now they would be crying that the game isn't being taken down and how bad ZOS are.
ZOS are in a no win situation here. Take the game down or not they're in the wrong.

That is one option, yes. We want to ensure this issue isn't impacting everyone beyond one day, though, then we'll work on making sure everyone gets the rewards they should have gotten. We'll follow up with next steps about any missed rewards once we get the issue fixed.6
