Pathing - Houseguest doesn't stay for time set on first node

I am not the best at pathing but really wanted to path 2 houseguests in the house I just finished. I have the first node for both of these set at 30 seconds delay, but the minute I enter the house they immediately start moving. I have reset the path several times but it still happens.

Shouldn't they wait for the time I have set on the first node before starting to path?

sadly they only wait on the first node when they return to it.

i usually put the 2nd node really close to the 1st because of this

My friend does that, too but I don't want to mess up the path trying to add another node now.

You should be able to just add a node in between two others in the order, right? Without redoing the whole path.

I was able to add a node after the first. I haven't done a lot of pathing and am not really comfortable with it yet.

Now I have another issue though. One of my houseguests jogs between 2 nodes even though they are all set on walk and I have reset multiple times.
