If you could demolish one existing house and it replace it with your dream house, where would it be?

Only playerhouses, not npc houses or open spaces.
I would choose the high isle town house (highhallow hold)- the location and yard is amazing but i really hate the confusing rooms and the dozens of stairs.
What would you demolish and rebuild?

✭✭✭I was thinking this lately about Sweetwater Cascades, even though the main Leyawiin-style building is very pretty inside and out. So it's not the building's fault, it's just a cool location.
I'd love to make an Elsweyr-style house or temple or water garden on that land with the views of The Rim and the aqueduct.
At the very least, I'd maybe keep the big house and remove the little tower behind—never had many ideas to use it.
Second option ... the Moongrave Fane room in Hall of the Lunar Champion. Another very pretty structure, but Tenmar is so cool and we get to go there so rarely in the game! It would be fun to have a Tenmar jungley plot, though Moon-Sugar is right on the border I suppose.PC-NA

Totally agree! I would get Sweetwater if the structures could be removed. Though in Lunar Champion I mostly wish for porting directly to the sections without multiple loadscreens through the interior.
Also wish for a prefab structure to place in homes, in the style of the newer, stilted wooden Elsweyr Khajiit homes. Like the ones in Black Heights.2 -

✭I can't spell the name of it, but the manor in Deshaan. I use mournhold all the time and I love the idea of having a house right outside of town. I just am not crazy about the house being the same architecture of every other building in the zone1 -

✭✭I'd demolish Mournoth Keep in Northern Bangkorai and replace it with a Breton Sorcerer's tower in a heartbeat. Tor Draioch-style, ideally: Nedic would also be awesome.
As an aside, the diversity of responses in this thread highlights how good prefab houses combined with open plots could be.3 -

The layout of the manor is ok, but I've never liked how dark the houses are. But, in the far future I might tear everything down and build a house on the cliff that overlooks the sea.

Yes!
Moonsugar is clearly popular, seems like every builder has one (but me... working on it).
Why not do more of that? Can't be more work than environment AND a house. Though, I suspect most of not all of the houses are prefab assets from other areas of the game, so perhaps the environment takes the most work anyway.1 -

✭✭Linchal. Love, love, LOVE the enormous walled garden. Hate, hate, HATE the house stuck at the end, which feels completely wrong in scale. Have never bought it as a result.
