Customizing System Notifications: friends logging on/off

Dear All

Is it possible to set up that I get no more system notifications each time a friend log on/off? If yes, where in the settings (couldn't find it)? Or does it need an addon maybe?

I use "no, thank you!" and then set people I actually want to see as friends in beam me up. I'd like an addon that lets me add more friends than 5 though, or even better, base game settings for this.

I installed it and set it up, but I have a problem: nothing is working. For example, although I set to turn off notification of friends logging on/off, notifications keep coming.

Do you know what could be the problem?

i believe you have to go into the addon settings to configure it, by default it just lets the game handle it normally

I did. As said, I set it up, telling what I want to see or not. I then reloaded UI and verified it had been saved: yes, all settings were saved. Though, nothing works. Notifications keep coming, like the addon settings just go ignored, even after several reloading.
Anyone having same experience with this addon? I heard there could be a compatibility problem with pchat addon?

i use both pchat and that addon and havent had any issues

i will say though that i havent experimented or used that setting for the friends notifications

if you are using pchat, you could also check in the settings for that as well, as that also might have the ability to block the logon/off notifications too

i might be able to check into it a bit more tonight (not able to get in the game right now lol)

It keeps not working for me. Settings are all correct, but it simply doesn't apply. Will be thankful if anyone can help with this adddon.

I not only don't want to see friends logon/off, I don't to 'push' my logon/off info out to friends either. Playing 'offline' creates a different set of problems that I find even worse.

My solution was to take my friends list to zero and keep it that way. If I want to check on friends or they want to check on me, we simply check our small guild's roster. Works perfectly for me.

Was thinking about doing just that. Now after some days trying to have the addon working, without success, no choice, I will do it.

For info: the rest options of the addon works properly. It doesn't apply (although set up) only for hiding the notification of friends logging on/off.

I use the Best Friends add-on. It moves the notifications to the top right corner of the screen, or we can choose to turn them off completely.

Thanks for the info, am trying it right now. The thing is, in the meantime, have already removed all my friends!

Time to get new ones...
